Why Publishing a Book Increases Your Credibility

One of the best ways to position your expertise and be viewed as a thought leader is as a published author. Most people view book authors as bona-fide experts regardless of whether or not they are. Most authors still dream of a New York publisher, but the choices as recently as ten years ago were minimal compared to today.

Authors… Mentors Can Spark Your Marketing Flame

Ask most authors if they want their books placed in the hands of lots of readers and they look at you as if you’ve lost your mind. “Of course!” they quickly respond. When you ask what they are doing to market they again look at you as if you have lost your mind and blurt out some excuse as to why they are not marketing their books on a consistent basis. The danger for many authors is how isolated a profession writing can be. This can be a blessing on the one hand and on the other hand one of the greatest obstacle to success.

Sell more books by answering three questions

Many nonfiction books are created to solve a problem or teach prevention of a specific outcome; often doing both. When marketing you need to know what problems your book can solve or what it is designed to prevent. Take a book on health and nutrition; some are designed to help the reader lose weight thus solve a problem. Others are intended to help the reader avoid strokes, heart problems, cancer or any number of life altering diseases thus preventing a problem at some point in the future.

Me… I’m completely animal and dairy free in my eating protocol. I started on my plant based journey based on what I read in Eat To Live by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. https://amzn.to/2KjbKvzrnr

Before Taking Advise From Someone

There’s no shortage of people who will tell you what you should do in your business. The problem with listening to unsolicited (and even solicited) advice is that often those doling out their thoughts have no idea what’s involved with your decision. Recently, there was a posting on Facebook by someone seeking input as to whether or not she should start a radio program. Apparently, she had been invited by a company to start a show on their platform. Although hosting a show seems like a fun idea, there are lots of considerations before saying yes or no.

Teleseminars - A Winning Price Point For Backend Products

I am a proponent of finding numerous ways to turn teleseminar content in multiple streams of revenue. When I first began offering teleseminars seven or eight years ago I didn't realize the revenue potential. Because of this I likely left hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table. You don't need to have this happen. Start from the beginning to look for as many ways as possible to repurpose the content of your teleseminars into other revenue streams. One of my favorites is low priced reports. An area that many people get stuck on this is knowing what to charge.

1%. This is just about the percentage of people who buy information products, attend seminars, listen to CDs to learn something who will actually do anything with the material. I am in the 1%. Why? Because I have a philosophy that has served me well. Whenever I invest in something I will immediately figure out a way to recoup my investment. This simply means I am going to study the information and implement the information. Will I implement everything all at once? No. But I will do something to gain value from what I purchase and the time invested.

Teleseminars -- Getting through the noise of the competition

When it comes to offering teleseminars the fact is there is an incredible amount of competition. In years past this was not the case. There were a handful of people offering their training by way of a teleseminar. Today this is not the way it is. Teleseminars are a dime a dozen. Does that mean you shouldn't offer them? Of course not! What it means is you have to raise your own bar in what you are offering. You also have to know what sets you apart from the competition. And . . . you need to know what your competition is offering to the market.
