Are You Thirsty? Part Two

Pure water is our lifeline. We all need hydration and as I mentioned in part one, nothing is better than ice cold water on a hot day. I can still remember my grandmother when she looked forward to a refreshing glass of water with lots of ice. She claimed it was better than any soda or other refreshing drink, especially when one is truly thirsty! I know she would have appreciated the Ibex tumbler, whenever she went shopping. She could look forward to getting back in her car, after loading up her groceries, and taking a cool sip from her tumbler.

In Your Yard...FREE Nutritional Food and Medicine part two

How many of us have picked a four-leaf clover, since it was always known for bringing “good luck?” Well, I admit that I have. I was the kind of kid that believed in magic, such as the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. Clover is an important food for honeybees and bumblebees, and clover leaves and flowers can be used to add variety to human meals as well. Small amounts of raw clover leaves can be chopped into salads, or can be sautéed and added to dishes for a little more green. As for the flowers, whether red or white, can be eaten raw or cooked, or dried for tea.

Chicken Soup is Definitely Something to Crow About

As far as I can remember, chicken soup was something my mother would fix whenever my siblings and I were sick. After all, the concept had been passed down from her mother. Mother had always describe Grandma’s chicken and dumpling soup something she enjoyed eating. Unfortunately, Mother could never make it this soup quite like her mother had. But, I had to say that my mother did her best in trying to recreate it and it was wise decision for her to do so.

Green Food Miracle part three

Mom had mentioned the first time Ace showed signs of improvement was in his muscle tone and memory alertness. He used to lean when walking, like Frankenstein. Now, he began standing and walking like everyone else. After that, he began to show immediate response to any form of communication. Ace would look directly at someone maintaining direct eye contact and didn’t stutter. My brother seemed like a different person. At first I was jealous, but then I realized that if he couldn’t provide an income for himself, who would take care of him if something happened to Mom or Dad?

No Diet is Complete Without Trace Minerals. Part Fifteen (Mercury)

I thought I’d never speak favorably about this trace mineral, especially since it has been known of being toxic. This trace mineral, Mercury, certainly has a history. A composite of it was used in the MMR and had been noted to cause possible neurological disorders. By the way, it is no longer being used. However, it does manage to show up in trace minerals at a micro amount; otherwise, it certainly wouldn’t be listed as being one of the more than 70 minerals we need for optimal health.r

I Live with a Documented Disability

When growing up, I thought my curly-hair-self was all I needed to conquer the world, as one suffering from glaucoma. I entered a number of beauty pageants and won several, such as Miss Norfolk Teen USA. But it wasn't until I served (twice) as a Youth Missionary in India working in an Aids Clinic for Children and in a Leprosy Colony that I learned more about life. These individuals enjoyed watching the sun rise in the morning and always found something to be thankful for. I will treasure their memories forever in my heart!

Apricots is on the A-List for Improving Dull and Aging Skin

All vitamins are sold in supplement form, and vitami A is no exception. However, it’s very possible to get all the vitami A you need from certain foods, such as the apricot. Apricots, with their ample supply of vitami A, can be blended into a cream to moisturize and revitalize dull skin. They soften the skin, too. Look for creams containing apricot oil or simply add 1 tablespoon of apricot oil to 1 cup of your favorite skin cream.

No Diet is Complete Without Trace Minerals (rare) Part Eighteen (Lead, Rhodium, and others less known)

The science community has not found a health benefit at this time for the trace minerals listed below. Each micro-trace mineral below is found in our bodies and is there for a reason, we just don’t know why at this time. For example, Lead consumed excessively causes hypertension, renal damage, cognitive function, and spontaneous abortion. However, as a trace amount, it must have some purpose since a micro-amount is found in shellfish, green leafy vegetables (especially in spinach), legumes, and red meat.

True Beauty Can Use Nature's Most Perfectly Balanced Oil

True beauty is really inner beauty. People who are healthy have a beautiful glow about themselves and it’s showcased by the way they interact with others. An unhealthy individual is someone who has a difficult time enjoying life, itself; and what I mean by “unhealthy” includes not being mentally fit. In order to secure the title of “nature’s most perfectly balanced oil,” the oil must contain a perfect balance of a 3 to 1 ratio of Omega 6 (linoleic/LA) to Omega 3 (alpha-linolenic/LNA) essential fatty acids, which is the optimum requirement for long-term healthy human nutrition.

The Benefits of Water

When it comes to learning more about the benefits of water, I must include how it helps one’s hair! After all, I wear the name, “Kelley Curl 7,” with pride. Did you know that a cold, water rinse can leave one’s hair glossy and shiny? The cold temperature constricts the hair cuticles to make the strands smoother and more reflective. It also prevents dirt from accumulating on the scalp and makes hair stronger.

Oh! So Pretty! My Last Article About Trace Minerals and the C-Virus

Only recently has the role of trace elements been appreciated. Trace minerals do not exist by themselves but in relationship to one another. Too much of one trace mineral can lead to imbalances in others resulting in disease, rather than the absence of disease. Mineral deficiencies and imbalances are known to affect and be involved in disorders of the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal, muscular, skeletal, neurological, immune and endocrine systems.

Simple Hair Test to Determine the Life of One’s Hair

Mom wished she had known about our hair cycle; especially before she turned 40. She never thought she would have to deal with hair loss, the same as what happened to Grandma. Grandma had a large bald spot on the left side of her head. Eventually, Grandma realized that her loss of hair had to do with the chemicals she used to cover up her gray hair and so she decided to let nature take its course. Grandma’s hair went from gray to a snowy white. Mom should have known to take precautions when it came to using a hair care product on one’s hair.

Feeling Good with Food: Olive Oil

About 50 years ago, scientists first noticed that people in Greece and other Mediterranean countries had heart disease rates that were a fraction of those for people in the United States. Was it the wine they drank? The produce they ate? All that exercise going up and down hills? The answer to each of these questions was yes; but there was something else. Olive oil, it turns out, can almost literally turn back the clock on disability and disease.
