Making it happen vs Letting it happen

Let's start with a challenge: See if you relate to any of the following statements. I want you to be honest with yourself. Each answer is a simple yes or no in your head. -You are content with your life but realize that you have the potential to achieve more. -You work hard, but you are not living the ideal life you always envisaged. -You work hard, and yet, your family is not getting the best of you. -You spend many days of the week frustrated with yourself. -Bluntly speaking, there could be more to your life than the one you are currently living.

The importance of being productive in a highly competitive world

You’ve woken up in the morning and made breakfast for yourself and your family; you’ve taken the kids to school before heading to work. During your lunchtime, you manage to grab a bite whilst paying the bills because they’re piling up, and you don’t want to pay the late penalty fee. You finish work, and you come home. You grab a cup of tea, and you take the kids to their sports game. Once that’s done, you bring them home so they can get their homework done whilst you prepare dinner.

What Are You thinking?

Let me start off by asking you a question. Do you ever talk to yourself? When I ask this question in my seminars, I usually find that there are two types of people. There are those who take a few seconds and put their hands up. They quickly realize that indeed they talk to themselves by way ...

When TRYING is simply just not good enough

Anthony Robbins once said, "If you can't, you must. If you must, you can." When it comes to taking control of life, successful people do not try. They make taking control a must. Think of a time when something in your life became a must. You just had to do it. There were no ifs, buts, or maybes. When you absolutely have to do something, you just do it.

Seeing though a crisis- An element of a Winning Mind

Every winning individual, team, organisation and athlete use their vision to attain their end reward. A winning mind knows that the road less travelled is filled with challenges. This is where Vision comes in. Unlike most people who are put off by challenges, A Winning Mind focuses on the end reward even if it's no where to be seen in that moment. Vision is the ability to see into the future before the majority do. Vision is your GPS that will take you through to your destination no matter how dark the roads will be along the way. Vision is more than just day dreaming.

Self Improvement and Motivation with your New Years Resolution

Barely two months in 2010 and already many a New Year’s Resolutions have been broken. Why are they so difficult to keep? I call February, the forgotten month. Resolutions will have long disappeared until a birthday or the festive season closing into another new year. Achieving your goals requires you to really understand what you want, why you want it, the emotional connection you have attached to it (i.e the price you are willing to pay to do it as opposed the price of suffering having not achieved it). It requires guts to take action because it will mean a change of habits.

Self Improvement and Motivation just got ugly- What you haven’t been told but MUST know if you want to succeed

Long before I became The Man Inspiring Millions, an international author of several books, a sought after inspirational speaker, the authority in the field of Mind Nutrition and a sought after brand, I came to a realisation. Every winning individual and every winning team has had to come to this realisation in order for them to achieve and surpass the goals and dreams that they set out to do. After all, the majority of people have goals and dreams. Many want to go places, achieve certain milestones and contribute significantly to the world they live in but sadly, many never start.

Globally competitive- Are you laying the right foundation?

"To play on a local level, you can need the mind of a player. To play on a global level, you need the mind of a champion." Kevin Abdulrahman Recently I was invited to do a Keynote speech at the Pan Arab Organizations Global Competitiveness Strategy Conference which was held in the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. The topic was about leadership and what was required of organisations in order to become globally competitive. To be in business in the 21st century, you need to be playing the game as a globally competitive player.

Giving it a GO

That's what A Winning Mind would do. After all, what's the worst that can happen? You fail! While most people focus on the risk they are taking, A Winning Mind focuses on the end reward--what their actions could bring them. Everything else is a process to get to the end reward that they have in mind. If you do nothing, you get nothing. When you give something a go, you have a shot at Winning. Not acting on your goals won't give you an reward at all. That's a hundred percent guarantee. At least when you give something a go, you have a fifty-fifty chance of winning.

The dreaded word

Let's look at this much dreaded word. F.A.I.L.U.R.E Is it really that bad? Having trained tens of thousands of people around the globe, the answer usually varies depending on who you talk to, their upbringing and their culture. This usually determines their views on failure. Over all though, failure is seen by many in a negative context. Not many people like the idea of thinking of themselves as failures or having had to experience failure in an aspect on their life. But, I have to bring to your attention one of the very few guarantees we will all have in life.

Self Improvement and Motivation to realising your purpose

Let me begin by asking you, What’s your Purpose in life? What do you want to achieve? How do you want to positively affect the people you love? How do you want to contribute to your society? Many live their lives in constant frustration. Even when life is O.K so to speak, they are frustrated in their own hearts because they know that life has more to offer. Because they know that they have a lot of potential that is not being utilised.

Interviewing Kevin Abdulrahman on A Winning Mind

What inspired you to write your motivational books? I want to make a positive difference in the lives of people by unlocking their true potential. My vision is to inspire people to attain a winning mind. Over the years I always pondered what separated the successful lucky few from the masses? I wanted to know what separated winners from losers. When the majority attributed it to luck and being at the right place at the right time, I knew there was more to it. I was hungry to know the answers and would not back down in my search.

Getting LUCKY

Most people attribute success to luck. Though I agree that there is always an element of luck involved, I am a believe that success is more of a science rather than luck alone. In many cases, what ever it is you are striving for, it has been accomplished by someone before you in some way, shape or form. This makes success more than just an element of luck. Over the years with all my travels around the world, I've been fortunate to get to know, rub shoulders and coach people from all walks of life, from CEO's to students, from Olympic athletes to Guinness World Record holders.

I am the KING of failure

At some point in our lives, we are all gripped with a crippling fear. Some will not admit it, but most people will. This crippling fear is that of failure. This fear is so appalling that it stops the majority of people from even taking the beginning step. They make comments like, 'What if I start a business and make a loss? What if I follow my passion of sports and fail? What if I up skill myself miss out when applying for the higher position that has come available in my company? What if I invest in myself now and don't reap instant financial rewards?
