What About The Guy Stuff?

…Is a question that I hear often, probably because most media and advertising is geared towards menopausal women, and not as much to the men. Oh yeah, and also because men just don’t speak up when they actually have a problem, right? So keeping just shy of bachelor parties and late night poker games with the bud’s, we are going to discuss a hormone, actually not just “For Men Only”, so ladies don’t lose interest, we’re talking about testosterone.

If My Doctor Says My Thyroid is Normal…Why Do I Feel So Bad? - The Importance of A Complete Thyroid Panel

This is a question that I hear a lot, and due to what I consider faulty teaching through medical facilities as well as insurance company anemic reimbursement policies, many people are walking around with undiagnosed hypo-thyroidism. Do you have lack of energy, maybe you are depressed, have trouble losing weight, difficulty sleeping, maybe your hair and nails are brittle and your skin is dry? These are all very common symptoms of hypo-thryoidism, which millions of people, mostly women, complain of although never find resolution.

George Steinbrenner and What You Need To Know About Preventing Heart Attacks and Blood Clots

We just heard the news of George Steinbrenner dyeing of a heart attack at 80 years of age. Where it is a sad event and occurrence, it seems that Mr. Steinbrenner has been dealing with health issues for the past few years, highlighted by the fact that he put his sons in charge of daily operations of the Yankee’s organization back in 1997. Hidden Wealth Within Your House

It certainly is an interesting time. Gold and Silver have been on a ride the last 8 to 10 years, where many people still don't even see them on their radar as investment opportunities. Metals are a special type of commodities which offer a way to safely retain your wealth, accumulate more wealth, and if times get bad, can easily become the stars in a system of bartering. What many people do not realize is that they might possibly have a small fortune of commodity metals such as silver and copper in their homes right now and not even know it.

The Changing Value of Money

I think its fair to say our financial education here in our culture is severely lacking. If we were to break it down to basics, money has two qualities, a physical and an energetic, in this article we will be discussing the physical sense. I remember as a kid looking at some paper currencies, one of $100 value and another of $5...thinking "how weird, being on the same paper one could buy a whole lot more than the other." It really did not make much sense, although that's one of the basic beliefs of fiat currency...ignorance is bliss.

Sovereign Wealth and Emergency Financial Preparedness

It is apparent. As a culture and a society we have not been very well financially educated. At times it is important to cut through all the confusion and get down to the basics of financial knowledge and financial security to help lead us into sovereign wealth. Do you know the old saying, "a dollar just doesn't buy what it used to", well, keep that in mind as you read this article.

The Gold SIlver Ratio and Why Silver Is Still Undervalued

One must look at the historic, or true ratio of 16:1, also noted as 16, meaning that 16 ounces of silver would buy one ounce of gold. This ratio was originally created based on the supply of silver and gold from the earth. This is not to be confused as the current trading ratio, which is merely a representation of current trading prices, which in itself is often a definition of the undervalued metal.

Say It Isn't So...GMO

We’re going to change course this week and take a trip right into the ol’ grocery store. The topic of this week is genetically modified foods (aka GM or GMO), in which I am willing to bet your kitchen is full of, mainly because the grocery store shelves sure are. A recent study reported that if you were to randomly pick an item off of your grocery store shelf, you have a 70% chance of picking a food with genetically modified ingredients. This is basically saying that 7 out of 10 foods on the grocery store shelves have been genetically modified.

Is Poor Mans Gold The Smart Mans Investment

Even through our questionably biased media where they have been downplaying the benefits of gold investment strategies and the rise of gold prices, you still hear a mumbling of its epic rise from $256 to $1385, a 441% gain in less than ten years. But did you know that Silver has seen a 625% gain from $4 to $29 within the same time period?

An Overseas Bank Account and Financial Security

More and more people are becoming aware and educated about opening an overseas bank account to take advantage of tax benefits as well as protecting their assets. Even for those not financially secure a foreign banking arrangement can be beneficial in taxes saved at home. These people are also becoming wary of changing political opinions, economic upheaval and uncertain of their jobs. An arrangement overseas seems more secure, open to investments perhaps not available at home and, of course, easier on the tax issue. A foreign bank account can help some achieve financial security.

Conditioning and The Loss of Financial Security

Often when you read an article, see an advertisement, or hear some news or predictions based around 'Armageddon or Conspiracy speak' it often seems so far out that it de-credits any possible truth or relevancy the news might have for you. Then on the other hand, if you were to step back, and look at actual real events that have happened, which years later after their occurrence might seem minuscule, but ask yourself, "what would reaction be to this event if it was predicted twenty years prior", the answer would often be "a disbelief of occurrence."

What’s Behind The Thinning Hair And The Hair Loss?

Problems with thinning hair and actual hair loss are questions which I receive often. And where men are affected more often with total balding, many women are affected as they go through peri-menopause and menopause due to hormonal fluctuations. Alopecia Areata made news this week when Kayla Martell, Miss Delaware came out to make it known that she is afflicted by this auto-immune disorder that affects approximately two percent of the population, some 4.7 million people in the United States alone.r
