Why We Worry About Money

I was once told by a clairvoyant that I would always have enough money, that he saw two pots of money next to me, and when one was empty the other one would be full. I had forgotten all about this, until my brother reminded me of it a year or so ago when I was talking about my financial worries. The reaso I probably forgot about it was that for me then, all those years ago, it was no biggie, I had no financial worries, all was well as far as I was conce ed in the financial department, the money was flowing in faster than flowing out and that felt just fine to me.

The Power of the Mastermind

There are a multitude of benefits of being your own boss for sure, I love it, but on the other hand there are plenty of challenges too! Not least being the isolation factor for the solo-preneur. It can be tough not having anyone to talk to, to bounce ideas off, to ask opinions of, to lean on, to celebrate with, to commiserate with, and so on.

Confidence - it's more important than you think

More confidence is probably the number one request I get from my clients when they first start working with me. It can be confidence in asking for the sale, confidence in asking for the money, confidence that they are actually in the right line of business, confidence that they can deliver the results, confidence in charging the rate they feel they deserve, and so on and so on.

Are You Unknowingly Limiting Your Income?

Did you know that you are very likely limiting the amount of money that can come to you through your business? And with one very small addition, that would change? And only you have the power to do that? So many heart centred business owners are struggling to just cover their everyday expenses, let alone make any money, and so seeing this one tweak to their business could be the difference between profit and debt, and for some the difference between staying in business and not!

Are you leaving money on the table?

Once you have a strong foundation set in the client attraction process and in your business which consists of a mindset for success, a niche and a clear magnetic message, it is imperative in on line marketing that you have a place to collect the email addresses of your prospect, a.k.a. List building. So generally speaking we are talking about a website/blog here. Now if you don't have a website set up yet, that's fine, you don't have to have a website. All you actually need in reality if you are just starting out is a landing page or a squeeze page as it is generally called.

Do You Have the Success Ingredient for Business?

“Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm”rn ~ Winston Churchill Why do most businesses fail? Well if you answered lack of money or clients you'd be right in a way because that's the problem on the surface. Unde eath that though, the root cause is because they give up. That might sound a little short or obvious. Well yes, if they quit they are bound not to succeed, but think about what that is. Why do people quit?

The Power of Choosing a Niche

Most clients come to work with me because they want to bring in more clients and they generally have no idea what to do next. They have been trying different strategies including the latest and greatest Twitter tips, the 7 step plan to successful blogging, the next best thing to sliced bread on Linked In, the hottest tip on selling e-books, and so on. But there is not a paying client in sight and they want to know what they have to do to change it. My first question is always "so who is your ideal client?"

Is it possible to grow a business based on love and understanding?

I was recently asked by a friend why I attended the silent retreat with Mooji a couple of years ago. And probably, more importantly, why I would do it again since that linked into the topic of the conversation. This was because we were discussing the role of the “seeker”. You know that part of us that wants to find the answer - the answer to life, the answer to what is our purpose, the answer to what life is all about or any other question along those lines. As long as we are in the role of the seeker, that’s what stops us finding “the answer.”

How to Gain Self Confidence

This week I have had many interactions on email and in conversation with people citing confidence as being their biggest struggle in growing their business. They have either stated: “I have a lack of confidence” “I want to feel more confident” “I just don’t have the confidence I need to ……….(fill in the blank)” So here I am, following my own advice, and offering a solution to my ideal client’s number 1 struggle hoping that it will serve you too on some level. Let’s break this down. What is confidence?

Fun – A Golden Key to Success?

Last weekend I spent time with a beautiful group of likeminded people. The proposal had been put forward by a couple of the participants to bring together a group of Three Principle facilitators in a retreat like situation and see what happens. And that was it. No agenda. No outcome. No goals. Just a space and time together to see what unfolded. It was fabulous.r

Top Tip to Make the Sale

I was recently asked by a colleague, what I considered to be the most helpful or important learning I have received during my period of marketing coaching. It was a great question, and I wanted to share the answer with you since it is so powerful. Having said that, it was difficult to choose because there have been so many, too many to recount here, but the most helpful in terms of bringing in clients to work with me has been to be totally detached from the outcome when having a “sales conversation”.

The New Paradigm of Marketing

The world of marketing has been changing over the last few months and in my humble opinion the new face of marketing is much friendlier than the previous one. This new paradigm, as many are calling it, works on the preface of collaboration rather than competition. How great is that? You no longer have to watch your back, you don’t need to be watching what your so called “competitors” are doing, you don’t need to be getting into a price war and slashing your prices.

Does This Stumbling Block Hold You Back as an Entrepreneur?

During my recent Three Principle training weekend we were discussing the qualities of an entrepreneur. We were asked as a group to share our thoughts on what we thought they are. And interestingly enough, out of a large group of mainly entrepreneurs, it wasn’t until about 15 minutes had gone by that someone came up with the quality of “action”. And that’s when Jamie Smart, our trainer, shared how unsurprised he was. From his experience this always comes very low on the list, or to put it another way, action is a stumbling block for lots of entrepreneurs. Sound familiar?

The Hidden Money in Your Business

One of the most valuable pieces of advice I give my clients, is follow up, follow up, and follow up. Now this might seem like an obvious piece of advice, but I can’t tell you how many people I speak to, that just don’t do it. And why don’t they do it? Well that depends on the circumstances, but the most common answer is that they don’t want to bother people. As a service provider, it is your responsibility to share the opportunity you are offering to your potential clients as many times as it takes for them to say yes, or to tell you to buzz off!

Why Should You Know Your Conversion Rate?

I want to tell you a story …. Once upon a time there was a door-to-door salesman selling vacuum cleaners who knocked on a door. The lady of the house came to the door, listened very politely to the sales pitch and said “no thank you”. The salesman gave her a big smile and thanked her very much for her time. The lady couldn’t help but notice how happy this chap was, even after her “no”. Her curiosity got the better of her and she asked him why such a big smile and happy attitude after she had just turned him down.

How Being Authentic Bit Me in the Behind!

When I learned about the inside out nature of life via the understanding of the Three Principles as uncovered by the late Sydney Banks, I was really keen to share this with my clients, but I didn’t know where to start. I put it off for a long time myself and interviewed lots of seasoned teachers thereby bringing the understanding to my community and clients in the best way I knew how.
