Self Defense While Walking

Self defense starts with self awareness. You should always be conscious of what’s happening around you. Let’s say you are out for your daily exercise walk. I try to walk for twenty minutes during my lunch break from work. I work for a large medical center that advocates this activity by mapping out indoor routes, through the various hallways, tunnels and building connections complete with mileage. If I’m walking indoors due to adverse weather (which is 75% of the time here in the upper Midwest) I do wear my MP3 player.

Psychic Self Defense

Psychic self defense sounds pretty mysterious. The fact is that most of us have some psychic ability. Some will call it a sixth sense, intuition, instinct even a hunch. Some of us are just more observant than others; paying attention. If your sense of hearing, smell or sight is acute you may be able to predict an inevitable event. For example, if you can hear better than your companions, you would be the first to know that a train is coming, that someone is approaching on foot, that a flock of ducks are flying by. You may smell a gas leak, a wild animal or a woman’s lingering perfume.

The Legal Implications of Battered Woman Syndrome

Let’s examine the legal implications of Battered Woman Syndrome. BWS was first proposed in the 1970’s. According to Joe Wheeler Dixon, PhD, JD BWS appears to be the product of legal advocacy and not science. BWS seems to owe its existence to the needs of legal advocates to support and justify claims by battered women who have killed (their batterers). The defense revolves around the woman’s mental deficiency and helplessness. Learned helplessness can be induced in lab animals, but no sudden rage or aggression.

Psychic Self Defense

As mysterious as psychic self defense sounds, it is an intuition skill we all can hone and polish once we understand it. I’m not saying that some of us don’t actually have mind reading capabilities. If you did, then you would have a far greater advantage over most of us already, and probably wouldn’t be interested in reading this page.
