No hiding behind phrases like—"This is just the way I am.” E. James Wilder As part of our career growth path, we must engage in constant evaluation of our actions to determine if they are the right activities to get the job done. We must be aware of the messages we deliver to our peers and to those we lead in our work environment. What we say becomes who we are.

A Workable Plan to Make Every Year a Success
With the start of a new year comes the feeling of the potential for positive changes. Most think of January as a renaissance period in their life—an opportunity to start anew and make up for past failures or items procrastinated. But the contradiction of these ideas is that most don’t take the time to write down the things they want to achieve. The act of writing is a commitment that can visibly be seen thus imprinting the idea more deeply into the subconscious. Writing also increases the odds of something getting your attention and raises the possibly of being completed.

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from Billy Arcement
I believe everyone has the ability to reach their personal potential. The difficulty we run into is finding the courage and strength to do so. Many times, we just don't know how or we simply become complacent with our position. If we can discover how to ignite that spark of commitment to improve, great things can come into our life. It takes a bit of dissatisfaction to improve.
My work with clients in a consulting role is to have them gather a realistic picture of where they are, define where they want to go and then design a process to fill the gap and re-position for greatness. With individuals, my efforts are designed to have them become dreamers of what they can become. I strive to show them the path to reach their individual potential by applying action to their ideas. Nothing of any great consequence is every achieved unless the process starts with action. Wishing simply won't make it so.
I believe the rubber meets the road with leadership. When we understand the essence of great leadership skills, we can get that promotion we want, we can rid ourselves of debt, pressures, and problems that plague our daily lives by learning how to take charge and lead ourselves to higher ground.
Life can be a battle or it can be a planned journey. Those who succeed understand the difference.
