"Are You Ready to Be Your Own Boss? is truly a gem. Carol Denbow brings out many of the pitfalls and rewards to owning your own business and taking responsibility for your destiny. Difficult? Absolutely. Worth the effort? That's up to you. Some hidden gems I found in her writing…
- Start with a business plan!
- Make a chart to remind yourself daily of your business plan
- Survival factors of new businesses include the owner's age, higher education, and previous experience in their field, with most business owners between 35 and 64, having 10 to 19 years of work experience prior to self employment
- To help you choose a business, make a list of your hobbies and interests, and then list all the possible ways you can make money with those hobbies/interests
- Make sure you are overstaffed and over prepared – your first impression will be a long lasting one
- Do at least a business plan and get legal council before signing any contracts or leases
- There will be "impossible-to-deal-with" customers – when they leave you, be glad and let them go
- Most businesses will not show any profit for at least the first year, and the average time is around three years
- Don't be in a hurry
This book is filled with valuable personal insight, experience, and advice. Pick up a copy, read it, highlight it (I did mine!), make notes, and tell your friends. They will want their own copy"

“From creating your writing environment to twenty-five unique ways to sell your book, A Book Inside How to Write, Publish, and Sell Your Story has it all for the writer who has questions.
Carol uses an easy-to-understand checklist at the end of each chapter to reinforce her step-by-step instruction on how to write, publish, and promote a book. Solid information about determining target market, picking the best title for a book, knowing what’s hot on the market, arranging book components, establishing proper book length, formatting for interior layout and cover design, copyrighting, and obtaining the ISBN. Her material on creating eBooks and audio books bring the author up to speed on newer digital technologies.
As a freelance writer and editor, I must say thank you, Carol, for reminding authors that they need to have their book professionally edited no matter what publishing route they take to market, and for including a list of problematic words, of which most amateur writers aren’t even aware they are misusing.
With excellent tips on the different types of publishing, the associated costs, and what to expect in each of these processes, it’s the book that answers most of the questions my clients ask me on a regular basis. Now, I can simply suggest they read Carol Denbow’s book!
Including a list of helpful resources, A Book Inside offers help with online book promotion as well as print media and trade shows. From the inside out, this book is just what the writer needs to become a successful published author.”

How to Organize a Virtual Book Tour E-book
Since I started my virtual book touring agency, I’ve had lots of friends ask me to put their tours together for them. Well I do have a problem charging friends my full fee for book tour organizing, yet it’s hard to say no and stick to my guns, my time is so limited. So I decided to make touring available to everyone for as reasonable a price at possible.
How to Organize a Virtual Book Tour E-book is now finished and available! The really good news is that now you don’t have to spend hundreds on a virtual book tour!! I’ve decided to publish the book as an e-book to save money for me and YOU! Is $6.95 a fair price?
The e-book includes built-in links to all the resources you’ll need as well as check lists for each part of your jou ey. How to Organize a Virtual Book Tour is easy to comprehend and the only resource you’ll need for the success of your own virtual book tour!
Virtual book touring is the newest proven method to sell books and it is HOT! I hope you get on board before this gets too popular and you can no longer find tour stops! Right now, if you buy the e-book and organize your tour, I’ll give you a tour stop on A Book Inside Blog (PR “almost” 4)!
At a price of $6.95, I just can’t afford paid advertizing for this publication, so the book is exclusively available through my Websites. More on the book can be seen in my Bookstore at http://www.authorsbox.com/apps/webstore/products/show/329935
