Since the late 1980s, Catherine was the owner of the accounting firm, M.A.”I” (Management, Marketing and Accounting, Inc.).
She began her CPA firm not as a CPA but as a bookkeeper with the gift of marketing. From the basement of townhouse in Occoquan, Virginia, she built and set up computers, hired part-time bookkeepers, and then wore an expensive business suit with tennis shoes, drove to business parks and talked with business owners about what their accountant was and wasn't providing them.
Fast-forward, in 2000, the business relocated to Bailey’s Crossroads and built to a staff of 22. Catherine, now a CPA with two partners and was a forcible competitor to the other accounting firms in the area.
She sold the practice and for a few years did a lot of traveling and studying with experts. She studied with Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsh, Anthony Robbins, Natalie Goldberg, Wayne Dyer, and other big industry names in the personal development, spirituality, writing, and marketing industries.
Afterwards, Catherine opened a coaching/consulting practice in Northern Virginia working with service professionals and companies to find and plug their marketing leaks.
Catherine enjoys watching the economic conditions and trends like others watch reality television shows. Marketing is still a joy that bounces her out of bed in the morning and makes her not want to stop and sleep at night.
She understands what it takes to succeed. She doesn't mind standing on a street corner interviewing individuals on their likes and dislikes. She has coped with business bankruptcy, walking the beat of failure and success. She has been broke and a millionaire. In seconds, her mind calculates a marketing possibility into financial statement bottom line and its tax effects.
In January 2006, after studying and qualifying as a radio and television producer, Catherine began her radio debut on WEBR in Fairfax, Virginia with the Let's Talk Marketing show. She loved interviewing the famous marketing gurus and average business owners on the topic. By 2009, Catherine was a producer of three cable television shows, one of her own and her marketing tips and techniques are syndicated in 12 states.
In 2008 and 2009, Catherine studied at AWAI for copywriting. Only because there wasn't any great programs on nonfiction writing.
Now, semi-retired, she focuses on a long-term hobby she turned into a business...jewelry. She gives classes in her Arlington, Virginia workshop, designs, completes custom jewelry, and sells her jewelry at various shows and markets. She has several copyrighted designs and is published in several jewelry magazines.

Creating a Computerized Vision Board
For years my vision board was kept on a cork board with push pins or a foam board with glue. Honestly, I still use a cork board in my office and have two foam vision boards sitting in my storage room I can’t seem to throw away. Years back, every December, I taught vision board workshops for two reasons. I loved hearing the participant’s creative laughter and the unique dreams being born. A vision board is a personalized piece of art. The decoupage design normally represents a random mix of pictures gathered to represent what you want to attract into your life.
