Daren Wride

Daren Wride grew up in the small northern community of Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada. With true wilde ess just down the street, Daren developed a love of the outdoors, and following high school worked in the mineral exploration industry. He also participated in the sport of Marathon Canoe Racing, advancing to the National Championships four times, winning two silver medals and one gold medal.

Daren worked in the non-profit/church world for nearly twenty years before becoming a writer and speaker. He is author of Release: A Wilde ess Adventure of the Soul, and speaks with a focus on Life Planning/Life Balance and Teamwork. His passion for the outdoors, high value on team, and a joy of communication permeate everything he does.

Daren is a founding director of the Fresh Outlook Foundation, which seeks “to provoke a fresh outlook among British Columbians that inspires sustainable behavior at home, work, and play” and a professional member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.

In addition, Daren is an internet marketer and internet marketing consultant. He lives with his wife and two teenage children in BC’s Okanagan Valley.
