Darwin Gillett is the Founder and Director of the Center for Mind-Body Psychotherapy located in Newburyport, Massachusetts. He has a Masters degree in social work (MSW) from the University of New Hampshire and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts. Darwin also holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Bates College. He is certified in Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy and has been certified in and practicing hypnosis for over 12 years. Darwin is a member with the National Guild of Hypnotists. He has taught several undergraduate classes and other courses and workshops on various topics in the field of psychology. He is also a Reiki II practitioner. Darwin has appeared on local television and was filmed for national television on an episode of MTV's "Made".

Other highlights

The schedule of events this coming Summer/Fall include two courses; One on EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and the other on Self-Hypnosis. Both courses will be offered through the Newburyport Adult Education Program in Newburyport, MA (located 45 minutes north of Boston).

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)–

Darwin Gillett, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, will show participants ways to reduce negative emotions through discovering the body's subtle energies. EFT has been clinically effective in thousands of cases and proving dramatically successful in relieving fears and phobias, panic and anxiety, depression, allergies, and hundreds of physical symptoms. It often works where nothing else will.

One, 2 hour session: Date: Monday October 20th, 2008, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Newburyport High School. Cost $40 (plus $6 material fee paid to the teacher). Class limit 10.

Learn Self-Hypnosis –

Darwin Gillett, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, will guide participants in learning self-hypnosis and provide a live hypnosis demonstration. Participants will learn to use self-hypnosis to improve overall wellness, professional and personal performance, and create and achieve greater success in their lives.

One, 2 hour session: Date: Monday October 27th, 2008, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Newburyport High School. Cost $40 (plus $6 material fee paid to the teacher). Class limit 10.
