This is the real question we all ask at some point in our life, is anyone there? Am I alone here, in the crowd, in the world? This article is about those moments, the times when we wonder if we are from another planet because it seems like no one can understand our feelings, thoughts and words. You may not have felt this often or recently, but I think that everyone has felt it at some time in their life, maybe only in childhood, maybe daily. This is a feeling of emotional and sometimes mental isolation.

In the search for knowledge especially spiritual knowledge, everyone wants the good stuff, high quality, the real meat of knowledge, but so few are willing to pay for it, and they do not understand how to pay. And so they float and wander from school to school, teacher to teacher always feeling disappointed and let down by inadequate teachers. “Another worthless empty teacher of just fluff. When will I find a real quality teacher who teaches the real stuff that can feed my hunger to learn and grow. Aren’t there any good teachers out there?

The subject of this article is about reacting to negative emotions. If you are effected by other peoples actions, that indicates that you care about what they think of you, you are not free. Certainly that is normal in our society, but is it normal for the real essence of a human being as opposed to the formed human ego personality? The Sufi tradition defines freedom as not being conce ed with what anyone thinks or says about you. That can easily be misinterpreted as arrogance so let me clarify that there is a difference between not caring and not being conce ed.

In the search for what excites you in life, there is no thing to do or possess, no place to go, nothing at all that can replace the essential need and ultimate foundation of good companionship to make life in general more interesting and satisfying.

The other benefit of knowing about the different kinds of weaknesses is that you will be better prepared when dealing with people. Knowing how to prepare for a cultural or species weakness for example, will help prevent your getting into trouble as well as getting upset by what someone will do.

You may have started out not knowing anything about the spiritual side of life, you where only material, but there was something different about you that made you feel something was missing in a so called normal life. Or perhaps you knew some greater truth, but did not have the method of finding it or talking about it.

Law Of Attraction Positive Emotions Series Negative emotions are not real and are not natural. It is not possible to have any negative emotion that is part of our essence. Every negative emotion is learnt. Negative emotions need to be defined so they are not confused with other emotions which we now call negative. For instance, murder, rape and so on instil tremendous anger and negative emotions. So you will ask wouldn’t those be natural?

Self-lying is our greatest hindrance to success. The truth cannot be found when you are living in a lie. Self-lying is just that, lying to yourself. We all do it, daily in fact. We may call it by other names, justify it, ignore it, or give in and believe it without even knowing what we are doing. Self-lying destroys many of our abilities and potential and prevents us from improving ourselves by making us think we are fine as we are, or not capable of achieving what we desire.

Sincerity is the word. It is the power behind all success in personal refinement. Pure thought is the power to command. Thought is made impure by fears, falsity, distractions, false desires, false personality, fragmentation, identification and so on. Sincerity is pure thought. But what is sincere thought? Impeccable action. Being who you are, not who you think you are. To be sincere requires personal freedom. One must be free to be sincere. True sincerity is like freedom, it has no ego fear of being hurt.

There are three kinds of emotions, those related to the animal level or physical body, the ego/personality and those related to the ‘Something More’ that is referred to by people who feel there is something more to life. As the human body and personality change from day to day and year to year, emotions change as well. This results in a life with ups and downs, erratic behaviour, beliefs and promises that change in time.

Words are our main form of communication. Words have the greatest power to make us happy or sad, aggravated or elated. How can something that has no actual material reality have such a powerful effect over us emotionally and physically? Here is a very old thought that gives an idea of how we can release ourselves from the effects of other peoples words; "If someone gives you a gift, and you do not accept it, who does it belong to?" If someone threw a pillow at you, and you did not react to catch it, it would bounce right off your body and fall away.

In our search for knowledge which we hope will make our life better, we take any opportunity that we are convinced will benefit us. The problem is that we trust others who appear to be in an authoritative position and are presented as trustworthy because our nature, which has long been buried but is still alive, is honesty and truth. That is the nature of our essence.

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from David Samuel

When you consciously say; “I can’t understand”, your subconscious is really saying; “This is not what I want to hear”

If you can remember that, and stop trying to make things or people be only the way YOU want them to be rather than the way they are, then you will always understand everyone and everything, and your life will be far more pleasant and productive.
