When I think of the times in my life I've been most engaged in the moment and excited, it was either when I was around music, movies or selling something.

I remember being in speech class in college when one of my classmates' jaw dropped as they noticed I started delivering my speech without notes. I was fired up for my speech and excited to talk about the prisoners I interviewed and research I'd done about the recivitism rate of the U.S. prison system. It was during this moment and others, I became aware of my interest in persuading, intriguing and inspiring others.

Later that year, I sold some beer and liquior mirrors I'd gotten from my Mother to Frat houses to raise money to go on Spring Break. (Mom was a Wholesale wines and spirits salesperson, Dad, a sales systems engineer).

It seemed a natural progression to choose a career in professional sales after graduating college. I'd managed to take a job generating leads from cold calls going from business to business and gaining valuable sales training that fortunately gave me structure for bridaling my natural abilities.

In my mid twenties I decided to see what would happen if I pursued another passion; communications. I went to Graduate Jou alism school and made my way to work as an on-air anouncer for an Atlantic City Radio Station. Still selling, I was moved from P/T ove ight to morning drive in a period of 8 months. It was in radio (and also College) that I realized I also loved to write and have a tendancy toward showmanship.

I have found, there is no substitute for preparation, seeing things from your buyer's perspective and knowing your audience and competition when selling. I have experience selling for general retail businesses, real estate, hospitality, entertainment and broadcasting and am knowledgeable about the pharmaceutical industry.
