Ed Rubin

I am 66 years old, healthy and fit, and recently retired from a privileged (being Causasian) lucky life lived primarily outside the box. Aside from the occasional hypnosis client, I invented two toys and published one book. Sales of one of the toys contributed significantly to my family's well-being. My mate of 28 years, Eileen, and I live in an 1813 farmhouse in upstate New York. We have two attractive and intelligent adult children, for which we are very thankful. They are our greatest joy. When feeling magnanimous, we take some of the credit for our childrens' success--and I am defining success here as having raised two people with no prejudices and no major character defects -- and give credit to our parenting style of modeling expected behavior rather than demanding it, not having unreal uxpectations, and a lot of love. A knowledge of NLP and hypnosis techniques didn't hurt.

I received my hypnosis training from the Access and Wellness Center in New Paltz, NY in 1993 and was subsequently certified as a hypnotherapist by the National Guild of Hypnotists. In 1994, I began to market my invention,"TOP-NO-SIS," a toy/tool with measurable therapeutic value, at FAO Schwarz, 5th Avenue, where it remained one of the top-ten best-selling toys in the store for 13 years. Currently, I pass the time working on the sequel to my fantasy, "The Zedland Chronicles," I do a little day-trading, a lot of cooking, a bunch of reading, and I remain abreast and concerned about current events and the human condition.
