Laurie Lawson’s philosophy: Coaching is life-changing business but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun while you’re doing it. Co-Creator/ Founder of Coaches on the Edge (www.coachesontheedge.com),she is a Certified Empowerment Coach (www.eljny.com), a Professional Credentialed Coach, a Certified EQ Mentor, Vice President for the Board of the International Coach Federation in New York City, and Executive Producer of Life Coach TV. She is also a Writer/Reviewer for Electronic Link Journey (www.eljnyc.com), a published author, and a blogger for Skirt.com, DivineCaroline.com, Blogher.com, and several other online enterprises. In addition to innovative, over-the-top, awe-inspiring, butt-kicking coaching, she dabbles in numerology. Check it out at www.doingitbynumbers.com.

Her interests include What’s Bugging You?, Now How Does That Make Any Sense?, What The Heck Was I Thinking When I Did That?, and keeping up with Elizabeth’s razor-sharp wit.

Certified Life and Career Coach, elizabeth cassidy, is the owner of Branching Out Life Coaching www.branchingoutlifecoaching.com) and her view on life is: I've learned that if you really listen, life gives you the clues to discover your blueprint for success in all the areas of your life. Become fearless by embracing change. Shift your perspective. Change your life.

elizabeth is the Co-Creator/Founder of Coaches on the Edge www.coachesontheedge.com, Development Director and Executive Board Member for the International Coaching Federation on Long Island, Lifestyle columnist for Boomer Authority, NY Life Coach Expert for examiner.com, national blogger for skirt! (one of her blogs took second place in the 2008 Best Blogs of the Year at skirt!), Poshmama.com and Bogher.com. She is also a published poet and a Reiki Practitioner.

elizabeth showers her clients with support, motivation and dark chocolate when needed. She is a former comedy writer/comic for WNBC Radio in Manhattan. She is working on a book proposal about midlife women living their best lives without the use of Botox. If it works, elizabeth will have enough Botox well into her nineties. www.BranchingOutLifeCoaching.com

Her hobbies are saying things her mother used to say, but to no one in particular, removing bugs from her home by way of a full roll of paper towels, and giving looks that could kill. She likes to brag that she never did hard time without a good pair of shoes to get her through solitary confinement. She thinks Laurie is an alien from an unfriendly planet.

As the founding members of Coaches on the Edge, Laurie and elizabeth incorporate humor into their coaching and writing. Their belief is that laughter can smooth some of the mental, emotional and spiritual turmoil that life seems to throw our way.

They like to say, “We're Coaches on the Edge: Life Coaching at its finest … peppered with humor, sliced with sarcasm, tainted with truth and we're able to leap tall buildings in heels.” Both coaches promise to keep their advice solid and their tongues lodged securely in the cheeks.

Coaches on the Edge’s blogs were recently featured in USA Today.com, Daylife.com and the India Times.

elizabeth: Number One with a bullet: For the love of God and everything we hold dear in this world, do not, I repeat, do not buy sweat pants for comfort while working. You can be just as brilliant in your own damn trousers! I fell under the spell of “well, they are kind of cool black sweats and I did not buy them at Wal-Mart and I could even go walking with them on” line of crap. I don’t care if Giorgio Armani designed sweats for his couture line. Do not wear them at home while working.

elizabeth: I want a day off. I am sitting here typing these words but inside my little head I am complaining in a rather whiny, pissed off, juvenile voice that I want the day off. I want to be given the day off without guilt. For the last 2 years, I have been telling myself that if I take a day my coaching business will cease (well, thanks to the economy …), my stories will dry up and my dying words will make a thunderous noise as they plummet back to earth, and I will be missing an animal or two because of the dust that rivals bunnies in the reproduction department will take over my abode.

elizabeth: As a life coach, I do ask my clients if they are open minded enough to ask the universe questions before they go to sleep at night. I tell them at night their brains are quieter and the grey matter can regroup and consider their requests.
