Author, columnist, life coach and keynote speaker, Ellen Wood, helps men and women grow younger with body/mind/spirit action steps. She is living proof that they work. Sign up for three free gifts at her website: www.howtogrowyounger.com.

Since Ellen began using this consciousness-based approach in 2004, she has gained a clearer, sharper mind and stronger body, and has more vitality, stamina, flexibility, exuberance and energy than she had 30 years ago. Now, Ellen's passion, as both a writer and speaker, is pioneering a revolution in age-reversing consciousness.

Born in 1936, Ellen is an award-winning marketing and advertising executive who had given numerous talks throughout the country during the 1980’s and 1990’s and had authored or been featured in more than 30 articles in national magazines and newspapers. Recently Ellen has enthralled many hundreds of people with her workshops on how to grow younger.

Her lifelong interest in metaphysics includes over 40 years of research exploring Eastern spirituality and Western psychology, attending seminars, workshops and retreats; and practicing techniques for balancing and joyfully integrating body, mind and spirit.

For decades Ellen applied the dynamics she learned to many aspects of her life. It was after her mother wasted away with Alzheimer’s that she began to wake up to the fact that she could also change the process of aging by applying techniques she had used in other areas of her life. Soon a whole program evolved along with a passion to share the information. The result is her first book, The Secret Method for Growing Younger.

In the Foreward to Ellen's book, Dr. Norm Shealy, bestselling author of over a dozen books, including Life Beyond 100, says, "Ellen Wood has integrated this century of positive thinking and its effect upon health to the next level - its power not only to retard aging but to reverse it!"

Her book is also endorsed by Barbara DeAngelis PhD, and world-renowned physicians, including Larry Dossey MD, David Simon MD and Richard Moss MD. Ellen has a regular column in The Taos News, Taos New Mexico.

On stage in front of 500 women at the first Sister GIANT gathering the end of February, Marianne Williamson stood as a radiant beacon calling women to use their power to make Earth a better place for us all. You’d never believe she’s 57. Or even 47. Stunningly beautiful with a trim, curves-in-the-right-places body, Marianne is the epitome of a Baby Boomer who will never be old. Why? For one thing she has no time or patience to absorb the programming and conditioning of old age.

“Hey, Ellen,” a friend called to me from two check-out counters away in the supermarket, “did you see the cover story in TIME magazine about epigenetics?” He wasn’t the only one asking me if I’d seen the issue a few months ago called “Why Genes Aren’t Destiny.” They were all aware that in my talks I tell about the latest scientific findings in epigenetics that prove beliefs and thoughts affect how the body changes with age. And I always quote the first scientist to share his research findings on epigenetics, the internationally recognized cell biologist, Dr. Bruce Lipton.

“Studies show that one of the most accurate predictors of longevity is what a person thinks about their own health,” says Dr. Larry Dossey, MD, author and one of the top experts in mind-body medicine. Recent research shows that your mind, not your genes, is the primary determining factor in how long you live and how healthy you’ll be. World-renowned cell biologist, Dr. Bruce Lipton, has done extensive research into how the mind influences our biology.

Several months ago I posted “There’s a WRONG Way and a RIGHT Way to Set Goals,” which I wrote the week before Christmas. In it I talked about the right ways to set goals for the new year. I enjoyed writing that column and was delighted that so many friends told me they enjoyed reading it. Although that article didn’t cover setting daily goals, after writing it I began setting three goals that I wanted to accomplish each day. At night I wrote in my notebook three specific things that I planned to definitely get done the following day – no matter what.

I hear it all the time. A friend is telling me something and before she finishes, there’s a pause. She might clear her throat and crinkle her eyebrows.

Today is my birthday! It's my magical day – the day I get to wish for my dreams to come true. Sure, I can wish for whatever I want every day (and I do), but today I get to blow out some candles and grin from ear to ear while my family sings to me. Then I read out loud their hilarious ...

There’s a light dusting of snow on Taos Mountain and this very warm day has turned quite chilly as the sun begins to set. From my car window I see no-neck people with their collars turned up and shoulders slightly hunched against the wind. It’s sleeveless weather during the day but the temperature plunges 50 degrees by dark in this high-elevation town, and many of those still outside are caught underdressed even though they know it happens every day this time of year. I park the car, step outside and whoosh! – the wind has its own design in mind for my hair.

Here's an anti-aging and anti-itching home remedy that makes your skin healthy and relieves the itchies in cold, dry weather. It's part of a program for growing younger and it won't cost an arm and a leg. We've been experiencing Himalayan-type cold here in Taos, New Mexico, that makes you want to just curl up in bed with the covers over your head until spring. But then it's hard to sleep when the itching all over your body caused by dryness in cold weather feels like microscopic crawly things chomping on you.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU KNEW YOU COULDN’T FAIL? How do people accomplish amazing things? How does a young man working for a mobile phone store in Wales end up as a globally-recognized operatic tenor whose first CD sold more than two million copies? How does a young woman who lost her sister to breast cancer create a multi-billion-dollar organization, the largest non-profit source of funds dedicated to fighting breast cancer in the world? “Just a waste of my time,” I remember thinking while waiting my turn for a mammogram in Dr. Ira Berger’s office. I had brought my briefcase and had work spread on my lap, but spending time driving the 97-mile round trip from my home office to the radiologist’s was an unproductive part of my day. It was 1992 and I had been getting annual mammograms for more than 10 years – ever since I turned 45. But I felt I had better things to do with my time, especially since no one in my family had ever had breast cancer, or cancer of any kind.

Use it or lose it doesn't apply only to muscle fitness or sex. It also applies to the brain. While researchers at the University of Kansas have found that getting plenty of physical exercise may keep your brain fit too, there’s even better news. Advances in brain imaging and neuroscience have enabled scientists to learn more about the brain and how it works.
