Julianne Bentley, the original Wanton Hussy, is unashamed to admit that she’s spent years thinking about sex. She works with individuals (and occasionally couples) who want to bring the passion and joy back into their bedrooms.
Drawing on over fifteen years of experience discussing the ins and outs of sexuality, in all its forms, Julianne brings compassion and energy to the process of supporting you in making the changes you need in order to have the sex life you want and deserve.
Recognizing that sometimes the most valuable knowledge comes from experience, Julianne maintains a positive outlook, and knows that everyone can overcome their current challenges and embrace their true natures as Wanton Hussies. She can support you with whatever issues are holding you back, because she’s dealt with and overcome most relationship issues herself.
Through a process of mentoring, Julianne listens, reflects, encourages, and supports clients (women and men, married and single), in coming to terms with their sexual selves. She believes firmly that every woman can be a Wanton Hussy and every man a Libidinous Libertine.
Julianne is an advocate for an individual’s ability to take control of their own life and to improve it. She sees the integration of the different aspects of our lives as key to the process of becoming our fully-authentic selves. With a completed Master's degree in Library and Information Science in one hand and a pen in the other, she left her secure job of over six years to pursue her dreams of being a writer and sexuality coach full-time.
Julianne has been writing about sex since 2000, in webzines, forums, and even a few printed books. She has been writing for over twenty years, creating poetry, short stories, essays, erotica, and the occasional novel. She lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains with her partner of 14 years and their golden retriever.

The First Step
Sometimes life just throws things at you, seemingly coincidentally, but with too much of a smack in the face to ignore. In the last week a song I haven't heard in years came up on a playlist - "21 Things I Want In A Lover," by Alanis Morissette - and then when I was moving around some old files ...

Being Wanton
I keep talking about being a Wanton Hussy - but what on earth do I mean? Why choose a pair of words with such convoluted histories, with shades of prostitution and sex-negativity, which echo thousands of years of virgin/whore opposition? Because I love words. And while I won't say that I'm ...

Making Love to Yourself
We all tend to live in our heads a bit too much, especially those of us who are thinkers, writers, computer techs, and other people who spend a lot of time in front of computer monitors. I've noticed that for me, if I don't make a conscious effort to come back into my body, I can get pretty ...

How to Date Your Spouse
Sometimes, when you've been with your partner for a long time, the shine kind of wears off of your relationship. In fact, I might go so far as to say "always" rather than "sometimes" - shine gets a lot of its sparkle from the newness of discovering one another. Once you know each other it can ...

7 Tips for Trying Something New
Sometimes relationships get a little bit predictable, right? You know each other, you love each other, it seems like you've been together forever - or even longer. You have great sex, but sometimes it gets a little routine. And routine? Well, it's boring. It can be difficult to work up much ...
