There are so many wonderful courses and books that help us achieve our dreams and goals and so many diets to experiment with, where do you start?
Sometimes it's hard to dedicate the time required to a new self-development course or programme. Rather than feel guilty about always putting it off until tomorrow, or starting then giving up after a few days, I've made a cunning plan! Take it easy, slowly and comfortably.... And from the Universe, an idea turned up :-)
Healthy Body Hacks is a compilation of 10 minute tips and resources to get you started on your fabulous path towards a healthy body, mind and soul. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XY4T73R (Kindle edition)
.....................................................................................................................
I was born and raised in London (UK). At the age of 36, along with my partner, I travelled for two years in England and France with our four children.
We bought a 500 year old ruin with an acre of land and lived an almost self-sufficient lifestyle for over ten years. I learned about health, nutrition and gardening, as well as keeping my family sane, during those years.
The children went to school in France and, when they grew up, one by one decided to come back to England. I myself, returned just over ten years ago and have been following my writing career ever since, alongside enjoying grandchildren.
However, the Grow Your Own theme never left me, and as more and more evidence is proving that processed foods interfere with our immune systems, I believe that growing our own food is the way of the future for a healthy and happy society. With that in mind, my mission is to spread the word and I have been writing articles, books and a lifestyle blog for the past few years in an attempt to do just that. :-)
I published my first book with Findho Press in 2007, called Grow Your Own Pharmacy. This book is still closest to my heart because it was inspired by our life of self-sufficiency. In ten years we never had to resort to anti-biotics and I had to share that.
My second book, Granny’s Book of Good Old Fashioned Common Sense, was published with Black & White Publishing also in 2007 and covers traditional home-making topics such as cooking, needlework and crafts for children, all brought up-to-date.
Since then, I've published three more books:
- Grow Your Own Winter Food
- Herbs and Spices - from New Holland's self-sufficiency series
- Grow It, Cook It!
I run couple of blogs and Facebook pages which regularly share great content to help families worldwide live a healthier and wealthier lifestyle.
And Kindle has been a great discovery! I've published forty five titles so far, and I recommend this way of publishing to anyone who has anything they want to share with the world.

Grow Your Own Pharmacy
There are a number of vitamins and minerals we need on a daily basis to keep us healthy. Strictly speaking we should be able to get all we need from nature, but when you see those irrsistable bottles and jars of 'extra vitamin supplements, it's almost criminal not to give them a try. However, it seems that a) most of them get left in the back of a cupboard or b) we didn't actually need them in the first place. Sometimes both a and b apply!

Grow Your Own Healthy Kids!
Of course it's very possible to grow a bunch of healthy kids, especially if you can find the child in you as well. Being a kid can be great fun, and there's no reason why we can't run around and play kids games until we are grandparents and beyond. As soon as the sun is shining get outside in the fresh air... especially if you live in a climate that has very short summers ( talking UK here!). Make the most of the sunlight. As long as you protect your skin from harmful rays, sunlight is the best form of vitamin D - and doesn't it make you feel good!

Spuds With Pizazz!

One contributing factor is the ever increasing number of tasty potato-style snacks available, making boiled spuds seem flavourless and boring.
