Following licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2000, I began studying EMDR as a result of my extraordinary personal experience with it. I became a Certified EMDR Therapist by the EMDR International Association in 2004, and have continued my advanced training through the present. I have yet to see a client who does not benefit in some way from the use of this very valuable and effective tool.
My most recent and ongoing training is in the integration of EMDR with Somatic Experiencing. As a clinician who works with eating disorder patients and trauma survivors, this very exciting concept ramps up the ability to enhance the speed and effectiveness of the healing process exponentially.
