I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear. Nelson Mandela Are your fears holding you back from living? But what is courage, really? Courage is the ability to continue moving forward even in the face of challenge, adversity, and fear. Just as Mr. Mandela says in his quote, it is in the triumph over fear that is courage.

Finding inspiration is so much fun! It is not as hard as some people think, you just need to know where you can find it. It is very easy to get stuck in a loop of negativity when you feel like you are searching for something that is eluding you. I totally can relate to this pattern, while I was recovery from a recent surgery, I was stuck on the couch and was feeling very trapped in my own head. While I wasn’t able to get off the couch right away, I could choose to occupy my mind with inspiration material. SO that is just what I did and I was able to work through a amazing “ahh” moment.r

Entrepreneurial leaders do not have a mindset that adapts to failure. Things go wrong, of course, but entrepreneurs don’t call them “failures” they call them “glitches, mistakes, bungles, setbacks” – but not failing. When one such entrepreneur was asked about the hardest decision he ever had to make, he answered that he didn’t know what a hard decision was. An entrepreneur will approach decision-making with the idea that there’s a strong likelihood that he/she will be wrong.

Passionate Self Care One of the surest methods to stay on a focused, purposeful course in your business, relationships … in all of your life, is to take extra special care of yourself. How do you find time to create a little piece of calmness in your world? For me it is mornings. I purposefully wake up an hour before I need to be a wake. This allows me to take the time to getting up, I am not rushed, I get my 15-20 minute shower. I mean how often does that happen ever when you have teenagers in the house. I get to eat breakfast, which we all know is the most important meal of the day, you know. I can make lunch, saving my budget. But most importantly I able able to spend 30 minutes in just being quiet.

A lot of times we get wrapped up in our products. And why not? We've worked for months putting our business together and our products are what people want to buy. When it comes to putting together a sales letter we want to explain every little detail so our prospect can see exactly what they're getting when they make their purchase. Isn't this the way it should be? NO! The customer doesn't care about the late nights you spent meticulously researching your product. The customer wants to know just ONE thing: What's In It For Me?

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from Lori Lynn Smith

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” - Marianne Williamson
