How to get started
Mark Victor Hansen is best known as co-author of the Chicken Soup of the Soul series. Ten years ago, I read the original Chicken Soup book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: 101 Stories to Open the Heart and Rekindle the Spirit, and I would highly recommend it as the place to begin. It is one of my inspirations for the title of this book.
When my wife got pregnant, she read Chicken Soup for the Expectant Mother’s Soul, and I read Chicken Soup for the Father’s Soul. The list of Chicken Soup books fits an endless variety of occupations, characteristics, and interests. The series is truly a phenomenon.
For those looking to increase their wealth, I would recommend one of Mark’s newer projects, a book called The One Minute Millionaire, which he co-wrote with Robert Allen. In this work, the authors combine forces to produce a step-by-step guide for becoming a millionaire in a short period of time.
The unique format of the book actually provides two books for the price of one. On the right-hand pages, you can read the fictional story of Michelle, a waitress and mother of two, and her struggle to come up with $1 million to get her children back from her in-laws. On the left-hand pages are short, inspirational stories and lessons for becoming an “enlightened millionaire.”
I would also highly recommend subscribing to Mark Victor Hansen’s e-zine, Rich Results. It is a fabulous newsletter packed with information designed specifically for people who want to create a better life for themselves. And the best part…it’s free!
