Pratap Nambiar

Pratap Nambiar is founder and CEO of Thought Perfect Pte Ltd (www.thoughtperfect.com), a Singapore-based executive coaching firm that is commited to helping CEO-level executives, entrepreneurs and other business leaders maximize their potential.

Before setting up Thought Perfect, Pratap Nambiar was a KPMG US Partner based in Singapore, responsible for the Asia Pacific Global Client Program. He has also held senior management positions in MNCs like Eastman Kodak, The Bata Shoe Company, Ernst & Young and KPMG International.

He brings over 35 years of international experience, including stints in India, Indonesia, the Middle East, Nigeria, USA, Russia, and of course, Singapore to his executive coaching venture. He has extensively covered the Asia Pacific region since 1994 when he relocated here from Moscow.His forte has been the development of Market Entry Strategies, Joint Ventures/Strategic Alliances, Mergers and Acquisitions- always focusing on growing the client’s business.

In addition to being the CEO of Thought Perfect, he is currently the Executive-in-Residence at the National University of Singapore Business School, building the bridge between academia and industry.

Pratap takes great pride in investing all his energy and deep commitment to quality in improving the business performance of senior executives. He is passionate about being a catalyst for change in the lives of the people he interacts with. It is this passion that made him qualify as a Professional Coach from the International Coach Academy. He now looks to leverage all his knowledge, skills and business experience of operating at senior management levels to help leaders to think clearly and maximize their potential.

Educational Background & Professional Affiliations

• An honours graduate in Economics and Statistics and a Gold Medal winner in post-graduate studies in Advertising and Public Relations from Bombay University.
• MBA from the National University of Singapore
• Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). Pratap was the Founder President (1996) of the Singapore Branch of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM UK) and was conferred the CIM President’s Award for his contribution to the field of Marketing.
• Attended several management development programs, such as those at Harvard, Kellog, IMD and INSEAD.
• Certified Professional Coach by the International Coach Academy
• Asia Pacific advisor to "Peaceful Settlement" - an organisation chaired by Sir Geoffrey Howe in London which provides Mediation services to corporates.

Other interests and achievements

• Poetry: Pratap has two published two anthologies; the latest is a bilingual versio "Straight from the Heart" co-published by the National Arts Council of Singapore. He is particularly proud that a significant part of the proceeds of the book’s revenues goes to support autistic children in Singapore. He is also the recipient of the Editor’s Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry from The National Library of Poetry, USA.
• Writing: Pratap writes regularly on various aspects of management and business and is published by various leading newspapers and magazines in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Sports: A keen sportsman, Pratap plays cricket, tennis, and golf with a passion. He was the Vice President of the Singapore Lawn Tennis Association.
