Through unity we can make each day better for someone and remain hopeful that one day all things that separate us will unite us. Through joint efforts we can make a huge impact on all causes that affect our lives.

Life is all about helping others. WomensRecreation.com is a place to talk, share, learn and listen. My main goal is to help you understand and rid yourself of anything that might be holding you back from becoming a better you.

A weekly blog will be posted to offer hope and encouragement to those who are in need. We cannot control everything that happens in our life, we can only try to understand our emotions in dealing with it. We are not a counseling service. If you are having difficulties coping with particular issues, we ask that you do seek a professional.

They say that the first six years of a child’s life are the most important for learning. Children can learn different languages, and so many other things. It makes you wonder if it’s exposure to different situations or if a parent is just drilling them and turning them into little sponges. Personally, I think that it has to do with their natural curiosity. Children are curious about everything. They ask a million questions so that they can get a better understanding of how things actually work.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month Why would you care, when I don’t? Why would you go that extra mile, when I wouldn’t? Why would you waste your time on me, when I wouldn’t for you? Why do you try to get inside me, when I wouldn’t? What you are trying so hard to see, I’m trying so hard to cover! Why don’t you just let me be? You ask me a question and you know I’m smart. I see that look on your face, you know there’s hope. Are you going to spend every second of your day teaching me and keeping me safe? You don’t understand life changes by the stroke of the hand.

I see it all the time, people selling themselves short. Be it on a professional level or a personal level, it happens all the time. It is the wrong job, wrong career, wrong boyfriend/girlfriend, etc. Here are some things to help you. Don’t give away your power to someone else. Keep it. In other words, never allow someone else to dehumanize you or violate your self-worth. You have everything that everyone else has; you just haven’t realized it yet. We are all the same. If you are not lazy, and you work hard, you can obtain what everyone else has, no excuses.

I have often heard that there was no such thing as being perfect and that perfection was nothing more than an illusion. I have found it to be much more than that. To attain the state of being perfect, the mind, body and spirit have to be in total correlation with one another. When you have reached this level, the sense of perfection is that there are no levels higher; you have attained pure joy.

We all get caught up with things that are going on in our immediate environment, sometimes it’s hard to imagine what’s going on somewhere else in the world. This might bring you a little closer in thought and hopefully in heart.

Sometimes we amaze ourselves by the amount of inner strength that we draw from. Our inner strength guides us with patience and understanding among other things. While we tend to downplay or simply avoid where our strength comes from, we know it’s there.

The mind is so complex that I will only touch upon a few things. Our mind is used for consciousness, perception, thinking, judgement, and memory. Our consciousness is an awareness of ourselves and others. Our consciousness enables us to experience and feel things. Consciousness is our being, our alertness. It is how we communicate, respond and so forth.

Our world is full of wants and needs. When you don’t have material things, you feel underprivileged. When you don’t experience the same pleasures as others, you feel underprivileged. When you get older you start to acquire the things you lacked growing up. Your path in life changes and the world is a much bigger place. You attain your goals; you keep going and never look back. You love the brand new you. You are finally living life and loving it. You have had a long journey and everything that you’ve worked hard for is finally paying off. But you still worry.

This article is written for the children who don’t have responsible parents. For the children that are being neglected and feel that they have no one. When a child is born there is only a limited number of people involved in that child’s life: the hospital where they were born, the parents, the family members and the doctor’s office. After a period of time, the community might become aware that there is a new baby that has just arrived.

Happy Mother’s Day to you! For all the unselfish things that you do, hat’s off! Thank you for putting those extra little touches on all the birthday parties, graduations, etc. You put so much of your time and energy into every single little detail. I assure you, it never went unnoticed. The many blessings that you gave to me and countless others will always be remembered.

Years ago meditating was a huge part of my daily regimen. As time went on I kept meditating, but I did not stick to any set schedule. Within the last year I have been working on meditating more. I am quite pleased with my progress.

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from Womens Recreation, Inc.

I believe we are here so that we can learn from each other. I believe that there are a lot of wounded individuals in the world that don't know where to go, or whom to turn to for help. If I can help just one person, my life on earth will be complete. But my goal is to help many. I would like to give hope back to the hopeless and hugs to the unloved, and dreams to the distraught.

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention month. I wrote two articles relating to this subject. They are "The Finest Boy in the School" and "At the Mall."
