Does the Law of Attraction mean I should stop working toward my goals and just wait for them to happen?

The law of attraction is not a miracle; it is a natural science! Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan says, “This world is nothing but the result of scientific circumstantial evidence. Whatever one can see through the five senses is a result; it is all vyavasthit (in order).” For any event that happens in our life, there are causes working behind it. These causes put together are termed as ‘scientific circumstantial evidence’ by Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan. And the end result of all the causes coming together is what Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan calls as ‘vyavasthit’. Let’s understand this science in some greater detail. Law of Attraction is a science of atomsrnAttraction is a property of atoms. Karma is a substance with charge. Suppose you say, ‘I always have thoughts of drinking coffee, and not tea’, it’s because you have attracted atoms of coffee in the past. In other words, you have sown the karmic seeds of coffee, not of tea. rnSuppose we sow a seed. After 3 months or 3 years, it will give fruits, isn’t it? Similarly our mind, speech and body in this life are the fruits of the karmic seeds we have sown in the past. So, whatever thoughts come to our mind, it is exactly what we have attracted in the past. Whatever words we say, whatever behaviour, whatever action or job we do in this life, it is all a discharge of the atoms (karma) we have attracted (charged) in past life. Everything is a discharge in this life. In spiritual language, it is called karma. Karma is nothing but charged atoms. When it gets discharged it is called discharge karma. Intent (bhaav) is the very basis of the law of attractionrnIntent (bhaav) is a cause. Intent goes as an input into ‘the computer’, and for it to materialize into results, all the other circumstances have to come together. Param Pujya Dadashri explains, “The bhaav-karma (cause) was created in the past life. That cause (bhaav-karma) gets fed into this computer and it is issued into the Universe where it encounters Nature. Then, along with all the other natural causes that come together, we receive it here as a visible effect of that. It is ‘Vyavasthit shakti’ that brings the ‘effect’ here. Then you have to get up when it makes you get up, and walk the way it makes you walk. Even the good and bad thoughts arise as a consequence of this very process. This is a very subtle phenomenon.” The effort that you mention happens through the inspiration of the effect that has to take place Any event that happens in our life, behind it there are five causes that make the event happen. They are the scientific circumstantial evidence that make the event happen. The five causes are: 1) Swabhav (Intrinsic Nature),rn2) Purusharth (Effort),rn3) Niyati (Natural flow of progress of an embodied soul),rn4) Kaal (Time), andrn5) Prarabdh (Fruition of past karma). For instance, we have a wish to eat mangoes of our own. - Now, the nature of a mango tree is to give mangoes; the fruit of mango would certainly not grow on any other tree. - Then, we sow a seed of mango, water it and nurture it - this effort is required, without which the fruit of mango would not grow. - After nurturing the plant, if a strong wind blows and destroys the mango crop, no mangoes would grow. This is called niyati - the flow of things - which is in the control of Nature. When the flow of things are smooth, the mango tree would grow in a normal condition. - Also, the time factor is equally important. No matter how much effort we put in, we cannot get sweet mangoes in winter, can we? Only when it is the month of April, the mango ripens. Similarly, if we wish to get the fruit overnight, as soon as the seed is sown, it will not happen. A certain period of time or duration is required for the mangoes to grow. This is the time factor. - Finally, nice ripe mangoes come on the tree. However, when we try to get them, they are so high up that we are unable to reach them. Therefore, although the four causes have been satisfied; owing to our past karma of obstacle (antray karma), we are unable to have the mango right now. Just then, a small lad comes with a long stick in his hand and pulls a lot of mangoes down. He has some and he gives us the rest. This is when the circumstance of karma too has become favourable. So, when we are not able to avail of the opportunities inspite of our due efforts, we must know that everything we experience is the result of our own mistakes (our past karma). We ourselves have bound these karmas of obstacles. And the law of Nature states that karmas that have been created will have to be experienced. Thus, if we have the right understanding of this science,... We will not sit idle, just wishing for things to happen. We will put in every possible effort, as it is one of the causes for the event to happen. However, inspite of best efforts, if the desired results do not come, we will not be overwhelmed with pain nor will be point our finger towards anyone to blame. Instead, we shall do our duty (effort) sincerely, and remain positive. Thereafter whatever the result may be; it is not in our hands; it is ‘vyavasthit’. For example, if a glass is about to fall, we must try our best to save it. However, if it somehow breaks, this result of ‘the glass breaking,’ is called vyavasthit. This is what we had attracted. Hence, we shall readily accept it without any pain or laughter. The law of Nature says, put forth sincere efforts in order to accomplish any task, but do not worryrnBy worrying, our efforts get jolted. The one who worries is said to have taken the reins into his hands, with a belief in mind that, ‘I am the one who is making it work!’ Really, it is not we, but the circumstances that make things work; therefore believing so is called ego. There is a punishment for taking on that kind of a control. This knowledge of ‘vyavasthit’ not only helps us live a peaceful worldly life, but it also helps us attain moksha, i.e., the ultimate liberation. This is because with this knowledge, new karma would not be bound. But to attain this knowledge, we require to get rid of our ego first. Attain Self-Realization from the Living GnanirnWe are really a Pure Soul, however due to ignorance, we believe ourselves to be ‘John’ (you may insert your name here). The work of the pure Soul is to ‘keep seeing’. And that work can be done only after realizing the Self. When our Soul is awakened by the Enlightened One, we attain Self-Realization, and only then we are able to understand the knowledge of ‘vyavasthit’ correctly. Thereafter, to ‘keep seeing’ what ‘John’ does is independent spiritual effort. To miss this ‘seeing’ is spiritual laziness, it is lack of awareness. You, as a Soul, do not have to do anything. Everything will happen on its own through the power of ‘vyavasthit’. You just have to keep seeing how much of the karma account still remains. You (the Soul) are the Observer and the Knower with eternal bliss. But for this to happen, we have to first attain Self-Realization. Through Akram Vignan, we can attain this from the Living Gnani in just two hours! So come, let’s go... ☺ To read more, visit: https://dbf.adalaj.org/t6Hw80v7
