Headaches are one of the most common complaints within our society. Almost every day you will encounter someone who complains of a headache that day and looks for a way to make the pain go away. Why is it so difficult to truly make one headache free? What can we do about them?

Thing that most people I know do about their headaches is reach for a pain reliever that will hopefully make their headache go away. Some go for over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that suppress the pain but deliver a long list of side effects we really are best to avoid. Some go for herbal preparations that relieve the pain more gently and without side effects, but still only relieve the pain. Some go for aromatherapy, and the list goes on. What I wanted to point out is that in most cases approach to headache is to suppress the pain. However, very rarely do I encounter people who ask: “Why do I get these headaches?”

It is important to realize that headache is a symptom of something that is out of balance deeper within our body and often our whole being. To truly address the problem of headaches we must be willing and able to dig deeper and look for the cause we need to handle and release.

Headache seems to be a symptom of wide range of causes that may stem from issues like environmental toxicity, intestinal imbalance, enzyme deficiency, parasites, fears, emotional stress, self-criticism, etc. Handling and releasing causes behind your headache is truly the only way to become free of the headaches, but more importantly is what your body is asking you to do when it speaks to you through symptoms like a headache is.

So next time you are faced with a headache, think about what you will choose to do. Will you choose to stop at pain relief methods or go within yourself and your body to find and handle the cause?

Pain reliever is a very simplistic approach to such a common symptom like a headache that may have so many different causes.

Consider that you are not simply a physical being and make sure to nurture all of your ‘bodies’ – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Use your times of meditation and ‘alone time’ to give love and approval to yourself. Evaluate objectively your diet and physical activity during the period of time prior to headache onsets. Look at the energy you are investing into your or someone else’s emotional responses and think about their impact on your wellbeing. Think about your mental and intellectual activities and how they relate to your passions and desires.

As a person who used to wake up with a headache almost every day and who now rarely has a headache ever, I know first-hand how rewarding it is to nurture and care for your whole being and hope to help empower and inspire you to do the same.
To help you along the way we will be honored to answer any questions you may have.
In the meantime we share with you a short list of herbal remedies we have used successfully within our families to lessen the discomfort of headache pains while determining and handling the cause of it.
• Black Seed Oil facial and head massage.
• Deep Tissue Massage oil rubbed on temples and on the neck.
• Herbal tincture made from white willow bark, wild lettuce herb, feverfew, st john’s wort, lavender flower, and periwinkle.
• Herbal Salve known as “First Aid Salve”.

Please note that above remedies are still simply tools to lessen the pain and will not handle the cause of a headache. Caring for your whole being (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual), while determining and removing the cause of your headache is the key to lasting improvement. With any questions about these remedies please do not hesitate to email or call us at any time. We will be happy and honored to answer any of your questions.

Recovery has turned out to be one of the most misunderstood aspects of an active lifestyle. It is very easy to measure a training plan. It is very easy to compare progress with photographs. It is very easy to feel pain. It is not so easy to feel healing. It is not so easy to feel healing when it is happening on multiple levels below the surface of our awareness, when we’re already trying to move on to the next session, the next run, or the next challenging week.
