Not all people accept the idea of spiritual healing as much as traditional approaches to treatment. However, people who believe in the power of God consider spiritual healing as the most effective means of therapy. These people believe that a personal relationship with God can heal sicknesses and provide inspiration, joy, and overall wellness. rnSpiritual healing is the transfer of healing energy to people who need it, thus healing people who are in need. The channel is called the healer, and this energy is transferred to its recipient through healing hands. It should be clear, however, that the healing effect does not come directly from the healer, rather it comes through him or her. The healer is someone believes in the divine nature of things and who sees the body, mind, and spirit as one independent unit. There are many benefits to this kind of healing. rnSpiritual healers believe that when a person has a personal relationship with God, he or she gains security and safety. This is the result of having a conviction that a person is never alone in the universe and that one is always within the protection of God. The confidence that one is always guarded by a divine power can heal the emotions and spirit of a person. rnWell-established security in one’s being brings peace of mind. Spiritual healing develops reliance and trust in God in all circumstances. It eliminates fear and anxiety towards the inevitable challenges of life. Spiritual healing is also manifested in total submission and letting go of earthly ideas and objects. rnSpiritual healing builds the awareness that you are created by God as a perfectly unique individual. There is a realization that God created you for a purpose and that you possess something that others don’t have. With these affirmative thoughts, emotional stress is healed. Spiritual healing also brings the realization that God’s heart offers unconditional love. A person, who is in a relationship with God, develops the kind of love that extends not just to family and friends but also to the universe as a whole. Then, he or she sees God’s hand in every aspect of his or her life.
