That’s because when one prays for something, the law of Nature is such that it uses up his merit karma and gets him what he asked for, whereas in case of someone who does not put up any specific demand, his demerit karma gets utilised and hence he doesn’t receive anything. The silver lining in the case of latter is that he is liberated from that demerit karma now since it got consumed and hence it is over. So, one stand to benefit when one waits for things to happen at their time. Nevertheless, this wait ought to be one with a pure heart, without any beggarly desire, or else it would generate negativity. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, the Enlightened being, has said: “The entire world’s power falls into the hands of his who is free from any kind of beggarly desire. How many kinds of beggarly desires (bheekh) must there be? There is the bheekh for respect, the bheekh for money, the bheekh for carnal pleasure, the bheekh for disciples, the bheekh to build temples. All sorts of bheekh, nothing but beggarly desires.” Desire is indeed the ObstaclernParam Pujya Dadashri explains: “Desire arises from the pressure of circumstances. Right now, no one has a desire to cover himself up with a blanket, but if it suddenly turns very cold, everyone will have the desire to cover themselves. Circumstances make them do that. Even though you may not want to desire, it is not something you can be free of, isn’t it? But…rnObstacles arise when desires arises. He that desires, cannot see, because the veil of desire shrouds him. Whatever you have an intense desire for, is bound to come your way (law of Nature is such). It will come to you in two years, five years, but it will eventually come to you. Intense desire itself says that it will be fulfilled for sure. But whenever you desire something, an obstacle arises. An obstacle arises towards whatever you desire. Do you have a desire for air? That is why obstacle for air does not arise. But there is some desire for water which is why obstacles arise for it. All these obstacles have been created by one’s own self; otherwise, is there anything that the Self (the pure Soul) does not have? Everything in the world is ready, and waiting to come. “Can we come, can we come?” they are asking. However, it is the obstacles that tell them, “No, you cannot come.” So the obstacles do not allow them to come to you. You create obstacles for everything by yourself. Whatever you have brought with you in your receptacle of intellect, you will receive even without desiring it, provided there are no obstacles against it. There is everything in this world, but why do these things not come to you? It is because your obstacles are hindering you. The Gnani Purush (the Enlightened One) does not have a desire for anything and that is why he is in an obstacle-free state. Everything comes spontaneously and naturally to him. The Gnani does not lack nor desire anything. You are Parmatma (God) if your beggarly desires go away. Through beggary comes bondage. The Parmatma is sitting within you. There is infinite energy within at your disposal. But as many obstacles you create, that much energy gets concealed. You are a Parmatma (the absolute Soul which is the real Self, the pure Self), but you do not reap the full benefit of your position. That is because of all the obstacles. An obstacle is created the moment you say, ‘I am John (please insert your name here)’, because God (the Self within) then says, “Are you calling me John?” Although you may have said it in ignorance (not knowing who really am I), even then an obstacle is created; if you were to unknowingly put your hand into a fire, would you be spared the effects?” Attain Self-RealizationrnTherefore, we must at the earliest attain Self-Realization. Desire is a state of dependency. And the Self never has any desires. So, if we attain the Self, we come into the desire-free state. Through Akram Vignan, we can attain Self-Realization in a matter of two hours only, as Gnani, with his divine spiritual powers, directly gives us the experiential knowledge of the Self!!! So, From Today, rnWe shall have the inner intent (bhaav) that, ‘I want nothing else except a Gnani Purush.’ The moment you get up in the morning, you may say five times with a sincere heart that, “I do not want any temporary thing in this world.” Say this much and live your day. ‘Whatever there is in my destiny is well and good, and if there is not, then so be it, but nevertheless, I do not want anything’, this is the inner intent that we should have. We will certainly receive whatever destiny has in store for you, nothing can make a difference to that. However, doing so, the benefit will be fewer worries and less frustration, and most important ‘No Obstacles!’ And in order to break the obstacles that prevent us from meeting the ‘Gnani,’ we can beseech the Gnani to break down these obstacles through His prayers. And when we meet the Gnani Purush, we will tell him, ‘Grace me with the same state that You have attained!’
