One common complaint that many people bring up when they are trying to improve their lives is that they are perpetually busy. It seems like there are just not enough hours in the day for most of us. Sound familiar? We all have different circumstances and responsibilities that must be tended to, but using this excuse keeps you from making any big changes in your life. Each day gives everyone the same amount of time - 24 hours. It doesn't matter if you are homeless or if you are a billionaire. There is a big difference between occupying your time being productive, and doing things for the sake of being busy. How many times have you found yourself wasting time doing things that offer little value to your life? We've all been there. Some people can't peel themselves off the couch and away from the television, while others can't get themselves away from their email and web-surfing habits. To live our best life, we must live a productive life. So how can we be more productive when we have to look after the kids, make our meals, work our job, do the groceries, fill up the car with gas, and clean the house all in the same day? The best way is to take some time every day to make yourself a to-do list. A to-do list is extremely easy to create, and takes virtually no time at all, yet so many people are simply too lazy to pick up a pen and grab a piece of paper. You might say that it's a waste of time and that you already know, in your head, what you have to do today. Well, I challenge you to make a to-do list for 3 days. I guarantee you will see the benefits of it almost immediately. Creating a daily to-do list will: • give your mind a perfect visual of how your day should unfold • create order in your life that you can build upon • prevent you from slipping into a state of malaise • keep you focused on your goals • give you a sense of discipline, and pride each time you complete a task Your to-do list can include everything from brushing your teeth, to dressing yourself, to eating a healthy meal. It's actually quite interesting how proud you will feel when you cross off something as trivial as making your bed once you have done it. Even though it's a small task, little by little those small tasks will begin to add up. By the end of the day, you will look at your list and realize you have had one extremely productive day! Start by listing everything you need to do - in no particular order. Get it all down on the paper and then identify which tasks take priority over the other ones. This is a big secret of productivity - organizing and prioritizing. If it's really important for you to workout for an hour at the gym, give it more priority than something else on your list that isn't quite as important at this time. It's all about what you want to do, and what will make you the happiest, and most fulfilled. No two days are exactly alike. No matter how much you want to get everything done on your list, things will come up and throw you off - it's going to happen. But instead of getting upset, just accept it and keep on moving toward bettering yourself the next day. You didn't get that workout in today? There's always tomorrow. But it's your choice what you do with tomorrow. DOWNLOAD a free To-Do List template

We’re fast approaching that time of year when friend and family get-togethers and office parties are, well, obligatory. After all, you can’t exactly pretend that Thanksgiving and the Holiday Season don’t exist, and that invitations from your in-laws, workplace, friends and others can be casually ignored. Or that you can corral your beloved partner into NOT throwing a righteous “everyone welcome” Thanksgiving feast or giant Holiday party. But then the ugly truth comes up and
