Slow Down - Don't Miss The Precious Moments In Life

Our days can be busy. In fact too busy sometimes with appointments, house and/or office work, to-do lists, schedules, meetings, racing from one place to another, grocery shopping, errands, planning, etc. If you have children, that can add a whole other dimension to busyness just on it's own! Whew... I don't know about you, but I become tired just reading the list of ways our lives can become one gigantic timetable of events and things to do. Then there are days with the extra challenges, as if you didn't have enough already.

Ease the Stress With the Simple Pleasures in Life

With all the hustling and bustling and pressures of day to day demands at work and/or at home, either self induced or from others, people are stressed and struggling to find a balance and a sense of happiness in their day, let alone in their lives. People may start off in the morning in a positive way, but often by mid-day it quickly fades to outer or inner grumblings, and their energy and mood diminishes right along with it.

Don't Give Up, Make Progress

Progression means the act of moving forward. It doesn’t state how fast or slow you might be progressing, or how big or small the steps might be, or where you started from or will end up. No, what’s important is you don’t give up. Life has this wonderful way of surprising us with the unexpected; it’s what we do with it that really counts. It tests our commitment, our hopes, our faith, our strength, our courage, our resilience, our beliefs, as well as our faith in ourselves, and what we believe or don’t believe in.

How To Stop Being Controlling In Your Life

There isn’t much we can control in our lives except our attitude and some days even that can be a struggle. Not being able to direct how things are going, or going to go, or what people may do, can frequently be scary for people. As a result they might try to control just about everyone and/or everything in their life. You can’t dictate how long you will live, or if you or someone else will become ill, or whether you or another person will lose his/her job, or home, or if someone moves, or someone asks you to leave, or someone passes away, or even if you can get somewhere on time, etc.r

Love Is Your Choice To Give Or Withhold

Who would have thought that a little four letter word could contain such magnitude and have an impact on people in ways you never knew were possible. This word is empowering, inspiring, moving, heart warming, humbling, kind, gentle, spoken or unspoken. The word I'm referring to is LOVE. It is one of the greatest gifts received and given. L - Let me be an expression and leave an impression of love wherever I go. O- Open my inner eyes and ears to truly hear and see how I can care for myself and others today.

4 Stages to Transformation - What Phase Are You In?

We are always evolving, growing and expanding in our personal, professional and spiritual lives. Everything occurring is for this very reason. The question to ask is, "What stage of transformation am I in?" Think of it like a butterfly’s metamorphous; there’s the egg, the larva, the cocoon, and the emergence. We are constantly in a never-ending cycle of self-transformation. Recognizing the 4 stages helps us emerge from the where we are and assists us through the next phases so we’re not staying stuck in our limiting beliefs, or circumstances.

Igniting Your Ingenuity

All you need is a little imagination, a touch of inspiration, a dash of hope, a stir of action, and you have ignited the recipe for ingenuity in you! Take a look at all the brilliance in the world. Each and every thing started with an idea, a brainstorm, a dream, and voila, the wonders of the world were created. Planes, trains, boats, and automobiles were designed by an initial thought. Pyramids, churches, towers, buildings, skyscrapers, bridges and amusement parks, etc., were built from someone’s ideas.

3 Steps to Change - Ready, Willing and Able

We are creatures of habit, and therefore we may forget that we have the ability to change our old patterns, behaviours, and mindsets. Maybe you have been putting off things until tomorrow that you can do today, or you’ve been waiting for something to happen before you take the next step(s), or some of your patterns or behaviours are so ingrained that you feel you can’t change them.

Change is Inevitable - Learn to Adjust

Life is filled with ups and downs, twists and turns, good and not so good times; that's what makes it interesting and often forces us out of our comfort zones. Frank Herbert said, "Without change, something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken." At one time or another, these expected or unexpected, planned or unpredictable circumstances can occur in every aspect of our lives. We experience them at home, in our jobs, in our relationships, physically and/or emotionally, financially, through loss of someone or something, globally, etc.

Right vs Wrong Decisions - How Do You Know?

There really aren’t right or wrong decisions. There is the choice you make, what transpires when you make it, and what you do from there. When you make a decision and it doesn’t turn out the way you had hoped, it doesn’t mean it was the "wrong" one, or if you would have chosen differently, it would be the "right" one. Either way, you made your decision, and now it is offering you possibilities and opportunities to learn something new about yourself, another person, or the situation you are in.

Aging Doesn't Have To Be Stressfull

Life goes by too quickly, or does it? Aging can be very a stressful time for many, not just in their appearance, but also feeling like they might have missed out on things in life. Often you will hear children say they can't wait to be older and then as adults they wish they were younger again. It's true, if you choose, you can slow down the physical aging process with anti-aging serums and cosmetic surgery, but you can't deny who you are and that you're becoming older.

Don’t Miss Out On Happiness; Stop and Enjoy It

William Feather, an author and publisher said, “Plenty of people miss their share of happiness. Not because they never found it – but because they didn’t stop and enjoy it”. For a lot of people, life is filled with schedules, appointments, endless to-do lists, and rushing here and there. This is often referred to as the “rat race”. Then you add a little emotional topsy turvy thinking into the mix and your level of enjoyment and contentment seems to diminish and is quickly replaced with stress and unhappiness.

Turn Your Worries into Wonderment

The definition of worry is to torment oneself with disturbing thoughts, to bite or snap repeatedly at something. Worrying about something is a waste of time and energy; so why do we torment ourselves with such thoughts? The reason is we don’t trust that everything will be as it needs to be. Why Appreciation Is Important In Your Life

Without appreciation, life feels dull and lifeless. All the beauty, goodness, vibrancy, peace, light, love, kindness, mystery, magic and miracles go unnoticed and, what a shame that would be. It's important to acknowledge and share appreciation because there is much in life to be thankful for even on the days when there seems there isn't. Appreciation is like a helping hand lifting you up and encouraging you when times are tough, and then anchoring you once again to the goodness and beauty always surrounding and supporting you.

The Gift of Giving

I don't know about you, but I love giving! Not because of the thanks or the credit received by doing something kind for someone, but because you can't help but feel good right down to your toes. Emmanuel Swedenborg said, "Kindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things even if we don't get anything in return. It is the joy of our life to do them. When we do good things from this inner desire, there is a kindness in everything we think, say, want, and do."
