I am a writer who has been working in the online market for over seven years now. Over the course of my life, a lot has happened! It's interesting how you can pack a lot of fun into thirty-something years of existence! I'm on a roll, really! I was born in Chicago and was destined for greatness...or at least that's how I believed it! My parents were very VERY traditional...mom a housewife full-time and dad worked for the city. They were "good" savers and managed to buy apartment buildings around the city. Some small two-flats and some huge 20+ unit buildings. Needless to say, I had a comfortable childhood. The one caveat was that my parents were a lot older than me, so I found myself without a dad at 15 and without a mom by 23. This isn't sad though. The good news was that the time I did spend with them was very educational…not in a ‘reading, writing, arithmetic’ kind of way, but rather in a life-skills sort of way. My parents were by all accounts high-performance people. They set their minds to do something and within a few months or years, they did it. Despite the fact that neither one had any college education to speak of and my mother was taken out of school after the 8th grade, they were pretty smart people. Needless to say, though the time I spent with them was short, I am very grateful for it. They taught me a lot of early life lessons that have served me well over the past decade without them.
So how did this manifest in MY life? Well- I immediately knew that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. My first venture was into the concert promoting world and WOW WAS IT FUN! All the stories about rock stars and late nights having awesome parties?? YEP- it’s all true! I had a blast with the market but unfortunately it isn’t one that is very lucrative for everyone. I found myself out of a lot of money. Sure, I have some great stories, but there is a lot of financial loss to go with them.
Here’s how you KNOW that you are an entrepreneur though- you keep going! The thought of giving up and taking the 9-to-5 isn’t there…regardless of what happens to you. I regrouped and took some freelance work over the next ten years. I suddenly got a great job offer and loved the idea of just taking the easy road for a while. I ended up working for “the man” for a year. I made some money and then I was fired due to cut-backs. This is where that old entrepreneurial spirit came back into play. Getting fired was the best thing that could have happened to me because it gave me a shot in the arm of “What am I doing?!?” and “What do I REALLY want to do now!?!”
I started writing…something that I was good at because I just completed my Masters degree. Anyone who has gone through a graduate program knows how much writing you end up doing on a regular basis. One thing is for sure- you are going to end up a great writer by the end of your studies! That’s exactly what happened to me and I decided to put it to good use. I started my own writing company and initially my goal was to provide sales copy, marketing material and web content to small businesses. It morphed a bit to include blogging and press releases, along with editing and “ghost writing” services. This is exactly what I have been doing for the past three years now full-time. I love it. The best thing about being a writer is that I can take clients from all around the world and help build their businesses. I also can take my laptop out to the lake and “work” while sitting in a lawn chair with my dogs running around. Bottom line is, I love my work. I love my life. This is gonna be good!

Introduction to the Law of Attraction
Everything is energy. Everything vibrates. That may sound strange, but think about it for a minute. We are accustomed to looking at things and people as having a solid form. A desk is solid. A car is solid. By the movement we can see the visible expression of energy. If you look a little deeper, however you realize that everything is built up by molecules— molecules by atoms, then atoms are made of protons, electrons and neutrons. Protons are positive loaded and electrons are negative loaded. Between them there is an innate attraction.

What is Abundance
I remember my mom talking when I was a little girl. She’d say things like, “I wish I had _____, but I know it’s too expensive for me to ever afford!” or “I could never spend that much on myself!” I remember thinking how strange that was that she would buy my brother or me a big gift, but didn’t think buying something for herself was appropriate. When my father would bring her home a gift she’d have a hard time accepting it. It’s odd how we respond to the good things coming into our world.

Are You Living in a Box?
What's it like to live in a box? Most of us would laugh at that question. We immediately think of the homeless on lower Wacker Drive in downtow Chicago. Bear with me though-that's not the kind of "box" I'm talking about. Did you ever hear the story of the guy who was stranded on the wrong side of a river? He asked god for a red row boat to get across the river. He believed that red row boat was the thing he needed to overcome his problem so he put all his energy into getting it. One day he looked and there was an empty raft floating down the river. He continued to pray for a red row boat.

Your Thoughts and the Law of Attraction
So how important are thoughts to getting what you want? This is a simple question. Thoughts are the key to getting what you want. How do you think on a daily basis? What are your thoughts focused on most of your day? If a problem comes up, how do you figure out what to do? These questions are all telling of where your thought process is and what results you are going to get. Let’s look at an example: Brian is in debt. He has $10,000 in credit card debt, a car loan, and a mortgage. He makes a moderate salary working a job that he’s moderately satisfied with.

Life Purpose and Growing to Be What You Really Want To Be
A wise man once said to me, “If you want to be what you’ve never been, you’re going to have to do things you have never done.” I have no clue who originated the saying, I just know that it stuck with me. Over the years I’ve realized how true that statement is. At the time I was working an 8-4pm job in a inventory control. Granted I liked being surrounded by spreadsheets all day—I was a math major after all! But did I feel fulfilled? Like I was truly doing what I wanted to do? No. Not at all. Did I feel like I was in any way reaching my potential?

Wallace Wattles and the Science of Getting Rich
There’s a growing interest in the Science of Getting Rich. A lot of people are addressing it as a new concept in philosophy but the reality is that its theories were first documented by Wallace Wattles in the early 1900s. Wattles believed in “thinking in a certain way,” to get the desired results. He was a strong proponent of the unlimited potential we all have to get what we want by using our mental power. The key, Wallace Wattles, stated was to hold onto your desired end regardless of the current situation. This is the hard part.

Learn to Work with the Laws of the Universe
Have you ever prayed for something to happen, only to have it not come? Have you ever wondered why, when you so desperately wanted this one thing, it managed to elude you? Taken the wrong way, we can assess these times as the Universe “not caring,” or somehow functioning at a very impersonal level. But the reality is that the Universe runs by certain rules. These rules never change. They never alter themselves. They never fail. Part of understanding how life works and truly being successful at it, is learning to work with these rules and not against them.

How to get started
What I have learned thoughout the past few years of working with clients is that my job, although I am technically called a "writer" is NOT to write. Yes- that is what I do, but it isn't my job. My true job is to buy-into my client's vision. My job is to make their growth a priority. This isn't hard because I normally work with entrepreneurs who have their own agendas that are as passionately held as mine. As a small business owner, I understand passion, I understand vision and I understand dedication. This is what I do. I support my clients via my skill set to help to drive their passion, vision and dedication to new levels of success.
