My profession is Professional Transcriptionist. I am a writer, inspiring and motivating, uplifting and empowering. My passion is not to "motivate," but rather, inspire, encourage and empower you to become motivated to be the best that you can be on your own unique jou ey. "If you're thinking of becoming perfect, remember, there is always one more step." Harold Klemp Practice makes permanent, is the motto I live by. It has served me well.

When I completed my education, I felt a wanderlust and was off to "find myself," which was thee thing to be in search of in the '60s. I relocated to Chicago, Illinois and at the age of 19 years old I received my Certification as a Business Instructor and began teaching at a private business college, Chicago Professional College. After many successful graduates came back to me with thanks and gratitude for their successful careers, some in the area of law, I become a Professional Legal Secretary and continued in that profession for over 25 year years. My jou ey to find myself led me to Los Angeles, Califo ia, the state in which I continued my career as a Professional Legal Secretary working for three of the top five law firms in Los Angeles. I started my first business, BJ Services, a secretarial service, in the legal and entertainment fields. Los Angeles is where I met and married my husband, who at that time was a radio jazz personality, known as, Tommy Bee. I worked in the entertainment field as a TV and movie extra. I starred in a movie and featured in various TV shows.

My husband and I now reside in Phoenix, Arizona. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 1998 and I am now his full-time caregiver. I've learned from him that "marriage of the heart allows each of us to remain individuals, but yet, that we are one." Along the way I did "find myself" but the search is not over. One of the most important truths I discovered is that I am Soul, a co-worker with God and I am still learning. I'm learning that being a co-worker with God, the universe, I must work quietly and efficiently and humbly.

My jou ey has taught me to share more, to give more, to receive more and to just be. In my search I discovered a path that has allowed me to grow into me, to be, and to love and to allow others to be, and to love however they are able to, at any given time. I know the Light and the Sound of God -- it is the food for Soul, for me, and that I, Soul, cannot live without these two aspects of God.

Blessings,

Brenda

When you came to the 40-year stage in your life, you will suddenly realize many things. You get to ask yourself questions. How will it be when I get to the end of my life? How do I feel about the life I lived? Then someone gave you some self improvement articles while telling you that it is not yet too late. Does that mean anything to you? You bet it does. The feeling of anxiety that will come next is just normal. Then you will feel confused because life had felt so good. You were happy, had a successful marriage, two wonderful kids, and a job you reasonably enjoyed.

Author, Oriah Mountain Dreamer (Sent to me from my sister, Norma Good, in honor of my birthday, September 13) "It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon.

“As one learns to express these creative abilities, he becomes a Co-Worker with God. No matter what comes up. No matter how difficult the circumstances, he finds a way to make the situation a little better. He is able to come out of it a little bit happier than when he went into it.” The Cloak of Consciousness That was my contemplation seed one morning as part of my spiritual exercise and it got me to thinking. I thought: happiness is where you find it. You make your own happiness.

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from Brenda Crawford-Bee

"Before you can improve your life and find a measure of happines, you must learn to do one thing every day out of pure love." Harold Klemp

If you would ask me what my mission is in this life? the answer is simply: to become a Co-worker with God, with life, the universe. I've learned that I cannot "motivate" any one person to do or to become anything. But what I do know is that I have the ability and I have a right and an obligation to always inspire and uplift. Learn the power of I AM.

A HELPING HAND

"It is one of the beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself." Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Philosopher

"Have you ever noticed that the very best way to lift yourself up is by offering a hand up to someone else? What a wonderful paradox that through giving we receive what it is we really, truly need."

I couldn't agree more. I know for me when I'm so immersed in my challenges and just a myriad of life events, I get almost physically ill sometimes. I'm agitated and irritated often and it's not a state of consciousness that I welcome, whenever it creeps in.

What I have learned and still am learning and have become consciously aware of is that when I take my mind off of me or my circumstance, even for a moment, and focus on the need of another, be it my husband, a friend or neighbor or a stranger, that immediately my spirit is lifted and my burden lessens, in just that moment.

I believe that's one of the spiritual laws of nature. It goes to, the more you give the more you receive; what you want most, give it away; you get what you give, and on and on, ad infinitum. For me, I receive a whole lot more than I'm giving. I get a sense of peace. I get a clear vision of what I set out to become, a Co-worker with God, the Universe. I get to listen to the sound and I get to see the light.

Lending a hand or an ear or a smile or a handshake or a hello to someone else allows me to get back to the pure state of Soul, who is ete al, and takes me closer and closer to the God-like qualities that I am endowed with but had somehow let go of. Giving gives me so much and allows me to give more.

There is so much joy in giving. "May you always know the joy that comes in giving" of your true self.

Blessings,

Brenda
