Soul Salon Inte
ational’s Founder Rena Reese, understands and communicates the unmistakable link between spiritual vitality and physical health. When
you are spiritually out-of-shape, all that you create in the physical
world is impacted. But when your spirit is thriving, you are better
able to attract the people, events, "luck", health and abundance that
you desire.
It became apparent to Rena, after years of deeply connecting with
people, that we all want the same things in life. These are to live arnlife of purpose, happiness, fulfillment and contribution. In addition
we share many of the same roadblocks. Addressing these very truths,
Soul Salon Inte
ational is a powerful tool of change and awakening for
anyone ready to participate in the huge global shift in consciousness
happening right now.
Rena Reese is radio host, author, speaker, trained counselor, (Johns Hopkins
University 1994) and Life Coach, (Coaches Training Institute 2005) inrnaddition to being named a 2004 EAS Body-for-Life Grand Champion. Her
connections with people from many walks of life inspired the creation
and growth of Soul Salon Inte
ational. What began as a personal quest
developed into a passion. That passion was infused into several books
and the books have forged a movement. Why? Soul Salon Inte
ational
believes it is because we are all seeking greater meaning and joy inrnlife. We are being Divinely nudged toward our spirit’s quest for
peace, alignment, growth and connectedness.
After teaching children for nearly 20 years, Rena left the classroom to use her spiritual gifts full time. She is dedicated to helping people heal, live blissfully and achieve a life of purpose. Her teaaching, counseling and lifecoaching skills blend perfectly with her spirtual gifts to tune people into the nudgings of their spirits.

10 Spiritual Secrets to Productivity
From CEO’s to entrepreneurs and entertainers to parents all over the globe, we are constantly in search of ways to boost productivity. To put it simply, we want to get more done each day. For some this goal is rooted in the desire for greater abundance while for others productivity is the gate-keeper to recreation. It is a means to an end and we are hungry for both the freedom and prosperity that productivity provides. The problem with the “work harder and longer” approach is that it often yields the unattractive side-effects of exhaustion, stress and a lop-sided life.

Is there a lentil up your nose?
Nearly everyone has a story about a friend, sibling or themselves wedging something in an ear or nostril as a kid. That story usually ends with the object having to be removed by a doctor. Pennies, legos, stones, beads and other small objects seem to be magnetically pulled into small dark places and eventually reach a point of no return. That is until a professional is called upon to excavate.

The Burden of our Possessions
Our ego loves stuff. On the contrary, our spiritual-self has no attachment to anything because our divine-self knows it is not ours. Someday it will belong to another. Sure we use it while we are here, take care of it and perhaps admire it, but it will someday be another person's stuff, it is not really ours. Material possessions make us feel many things at different times in our lives. Some may stir sentimentality, a sense of accomplishment, safety and even power.

All Really IS one!
The gifted spiritual teacher Dr. Wayne Dyer once explained that it makes about as much sense to have a smoking section in a restaurant as it does to have a peeing section in a pool. Why is this so poignant? Well, in much the same way, we are all one mass of co-mingled vibrating energy here on earth.

Courage: Getting Your Fear in Gear
Courage is granted to each of us equally, not just firemen, explorers and military heroes. Like a muscle that will atrophy if not exercised, our courage is also strengthened and grows with use. Lucky are the children who have courage breathed into them by parents, teachers and role models during their formative years; surely they will navigate fear with more grace as adults. However it is never too late to tap into our reservoir of courage to align with the life our spirit is nudging us toward.

What Can Amelia Earhart Teach Us About Life?
While on vacation I finished an autobiographical accounting of Amelia's historical flight in the Friendship called, 20 hrs., 40 min. I took note of many parts of the book-- and many of her funny remarks and down to earth humble stories. One story that amused me was when she gave an accounting of the time she experienced real fog for the first time.

What Can a Car Wash Teach you About Life?
If you are like most people you get in your car, start it and either adjust it from the "park" position and put it in "reverse" or "drive", right? You are either moving forward or in reverse. In much the same way in life, we are either moving forward, towards our goals, or being distracted by things which are coming between us and our goals. And sometimes, just as in driving, you may have to go in reverse in order to move forward. It is worth noodling this through and holding ourselves accountable after all, we are in the driver's seat.

Spiritual Energy: Your Renewable Resource
What are you? Ask that question of a thousand people and the vast majority will likely respond with their occupation or job. I am a parent, teacher, lawyer or a whatever-I-do-to-ea -money-and-fill-my-day. Yet this is not who we are. We are not what we do. Think about that for a moment; while it sounds simple, do you really know who you are when extricated from the identity a profession, role or achievement provides? Can you tell me what you are without naming what it is that you do? The most accurate answer to that question is actually the same for each of us.

What a great day it will be when the diet section of libraries are lined with books on making skinny souls fat, rather than fat bodies skinny...If you do not address the reasons depression, ill health or a poor physique crept into your cells, those reasons will rear up and offer resistance to you after you experience a taste of joy and victory on ANY diet program.

The Soul Salon
When we come here we seem to be helpless babies yet to discover what the world is about. Itrnmay appear that we inca ate as a blank slate as philosopher John Locke theorized, waiting to be etched upon through experience. Surely our experiences reveal, develop and highlight our gifts, but we come here infused with what we have to share with the planet, just as surely as we are given a heartbeat. The good news is that we are not expected to blindly venture out and disce who we are and what we are here to do all for ourselves without support. We are guided with great love from God and a communication system so advanced it requires no wires or equipment.
Your definition of God may differ from mine but that is not important in understanding your guidance system. Simply put, we arrive here with all we need to live our purpose. Wernhave our gifts and abilities that are packed in our spiritual suitcase just as surely as our DNA is infused in every cell of our body. And just as real as our digestive system and circulatory system we have an energy system to help us check in with our spiritual and physical health. When we are born, the greatest tool we come fully equipped with, is our connection to the divine, to God. This connection, in the form of our Divine guidance, is a constantly available source of information and feedback, a sort of inner counsel. If we seek guidance or even allow guidance we will always be connected to our source, the Divine. In addition we will be supported as we seek to live our purpose, make decisions, heal, and thrive.
Blocking the guidance, ignoring the guidance and closing yourself off from Divine guidance has consequences. These consequences can take the form of physical illness, depression and an unfulfilled, dispassionate life. We may unwittingly ignore guidance because we think it is not really guidance, but rather the imaginings of our subconscious. Or perhaps we may feel we are not worthy of a connection to the divine, therefore we doubt from where our intuitions come. Irnthink it is most often the case that we are open to hearing guidance but we are not so sure what it looks and sounds like or we know we will have to act on it if we acknowledge it. That can be a scary notion in some situations.
So, what does Divine guidance look and sound like? Most often we are guided through even the simplest of things. Recognize that using the divine guidance fully available to you is to use a tool ofrnimmeasurable value that can change your entire existence and re-route your entire life!
Your Divine guidance could be:
· The sudden urge you get to turn left, taking an alte ate way home.
· The recurring push you feel to write that book
· The draw you feel to move to a city
· The nagging feeling you have that it is time to end a relationship
· That business you want to begin or property you want to buy or sell
· The recurring dream you have been having
· The inspiration for an invention that you are sure you must create!
· The seemingly random thought to call an old friend
· The song you keep singing and cannot get out of your head
|
|
And then, when you get a hint, a nudge or an intuition about where your greatest happiness can be found, ACT ON THAT guidance. It does not take a monumental overthrow of your present life to begin the momentum toward the life you want to create. Pick one thing you can do to begin to walking toward what you want.

People who have arrived at their happy place did not just wake up there one day. They made consistent small steps in the right direction over time. Every step counts and every thought counts.
