rnThe Bhagavad Gita is a holy scripture. It is in question-answer format and has been written with the express intention to help those who read it to comprehend the fundamental questions of our being. Those that read the Gita understand some of its significance but struggle to understand its complete meaning. During the conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna at the time of the great battle, Lord Krishna clarifies to Arjuna the ultimate science of the universe and reveals the knowledge of the Self to him. During the unfolding of the dialogue, Lord Krishna helps Arjuna understand who he thinks he is and what his true form is ie: the Self. Once Arjuna comprehends this, Lord Krishna bestows him with the gift of Self Realization. Even if one reads the Bhagavad Gita a thousand times, it is difficult to understand what it really means. What is the true form? Why is it difficult to understand?rnThis is because to truly understand the Gita you need to experience your true Self. In the dialogue, Lord Krishna explains that the ultimate goal of liberation – freedom from the cycle of birth and death, can only be achieved by realizing your true Self. This true Self is your pure Soul, which is distinct from your body. According to Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, an enlightened being,“When a person dies, what is it that leaves when people say, "He left the body?" That, which leaves, is the 'real thing' and whatever is left behind is the 'packing'.” Thus, reading the narrative in the Gita about the true form – the pure Self - is not enough. To know your true form, your pure Soul - which is the essence of your being - you need to become Self-Realized, which is the only way to experience your true Self. Once you experience your true Self, you will realise that it is the essence, which transcends this lifetime and thousands of your previous lifetimes. •You become aware as to who is experiencing worldly emotions and turmoil and who you truly are. •You realise that your true Self is separate from the body. •You distinguish that it is the body that is occupied with anger, pride, deceit and greed. •Finally, you comprehend the temporary nature of happiness within the world – whilst your true detached Self as the pure Soul remain in a state of constant inner bliss. To experience this rather than understand it theoretically, you are required to look for a Self-Realized being who has the powers to impart the Knowledge of the Self to others. Like a candle igniting another candle, this can only be accomplished by meeting an Enlightened being who has also attained the knowledge of the Self and is bestowed the gift to help others achieve this too. Lord Krishna was blessed with this gift. During His conversation with Arjuna He bestowed Self Realization upon Arjuna.Whilst intellectually you may comprehend the concept of your true Self, you will be unable to become Self-Realized. How do I become Self-Realized? rnToday, Pujya Deepakbhai, blessed by Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, has the ability to bestow the gift of Self Realization. Already, countless people have been fortunate to acquire the knowledge of the Self and understand the true significance of the Bhagavad Gita by undergoing a special Self Realization ceremony called, ‘Gnan Vidhi’ and you can too! please visit https://www.dadabhagwan.org/path-to-happiness/spiritual-science/know-bhagavad-gita-as-it-is/
