My name is Sandrine. Like some of you I am a mother, I have a full time job and enough extra-curricular activities to keep me busy most nights. I had a tough childhood, some tumultuous relationships and like most of you, I try my best to balance professional, personal and spiritual life. What sets me apart, however, is my passion and devotion to self-growth. You see, four years ago, after my marriage ended, I realized that my life was revolving around taking care of everyone else but myself. I was burned out, stressed out and I had no idea who I was or what I wanted out of life. I felt like something very important was missing, like I was born to be so much more. But mostly, I felt alone. I knew in my heart that I needed help from a higher power but I was resisting that notion greatly. Born and raised in the Roman Catholic faith, I had spent my childhood reluctantly attending mass and Sunday school all the while resenting the idea of a loving God that wasn’t there for me. But I was at the end of my rope, and if there was anyone out there willing to hear me out, I would give it a try. I had no idea where to start but I wanted to be a better mother and I needed to find out who I was. With that in mind, I set my intentions. From that day on, I would take care of myself, give thanks for all the great things I already had and I would ask my Higher Self (I wasn’t comfortable calling it God quite yet) to show me the next steps. My prayers were answered. Over the past four years, I have come across the right books at the right time, stumbled upon great websites and been introduced to powerful meditative practices when I needed them the most. My growth has been slow but steady and every time I feel discouraged, I am always reminded to focus on my intentions and ask for guidance. Today I know who I am and what I want for myself. My lifestyle is streamlined to keep my stress level in check, my relationship with the children honors their needs and mine, and my daily practice has become a way of life that promotes a profound sense a peace. But most importantly, for the first time in my life I feel supported by the Universe every step of the way and my life is finally on purpose. So, if like me you are ready to transform your life, take a deep breath, ask for guidance, set your intentions and be amazed.
