Some of the most simple spiritual ways to learn to flow with life instead of fighting with it are: Not to hurt others The fundamental principle of Akram Vignan is our intent of not hurting any living being through our mind, speech and body. This is the highest of all principles for human life and it’s the ultimate worldly truth. If we inflict suffering or hurt on any living being, we will only have to bear its consequences. God resides in every living being. Therefore, if we were to hurt any living being, we incur severe liability for that. To put this into practice, we shall start our day by reciting the following sentence five times with utmost sincerity: “Oh God! I don’t wish to hurt anybody in this world with my mind, my speech, or my actions. Please give me the strength to do this.” And then, through the day, we’ll maintain our awareness of it. Do not see the faults of others It is so easy to find faults with others. But do you know the law of karma states that what you give is what you get? It means if we see the faults of others, others will keep seeing our faults. Would we like that? Therefore, flow with life, take it easy and if you want to see, see your own faults. How?? Whenever we see any fault of others, we shall check within ourselves whether we have committed the same fault in our lives. We surely have! Now, by seeing those faults of ours, we’ve got the work of freeing ourselves from those faults. rnSo, when we follow this simple spiritual way of searching for the faults that we see of others in our own self and clear those faults, then we shall find no time to see the faults of anybody else. This becomes especially difficult when someone harms or insults us. But here again, we need to remember the law of karma - what you’ve given is what you get. Maybe not now, but in the past life, we may have caused hurt or harm to someone, due to which we are having to suffer the harm or hurt today. Hence, it is the result of our own wrong deeds (karma) done in the past, and the other person is simply an 'instrument’ nominated by Nature to deliver that result to us in this life. Thus, we have been punished for our own past deeds, and hence the other person is not at fault at all. The Four Spiritual Doctrines 1) ‘Whatever happened is justice!’rn2) ‘The Fault is of The Sufferer.’rn3) ‘Adjust Everywhere!’rn4) ‘Avoid Clashes.’ Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, the enlightened being, has given us the above four very important spiritual doctrines, which when applied in our daily life help us flow with life instead of fighting with it. This asks for sincere practice and a lot of commitment on our part. Pratikraman (asking for forgiveness) What prevents us from flowing with life? It’s not any person or a situation, but our own mistakes, that pose the biggest obstacles in life. Some people have a severe obstacle of pride, some have greed, whilst others may have deceit, and few may have sex. We all have atoms of anger, pride, deceit, greed, attachment, hatred, etc. within us, and as a result, we end up hurting somebody or getting hurt by somebody! When we see our faults and remove them through pratikraman, we will feel much lighter and purer. Pratikraman is a three-step process of reversal from committing new faults and washing the old. Consequently, we stop hurting others through our thoughts, speech, or actions. The three steps of reversal are in the form of: 1) Alochana - confessing the mistake to the Lord within, rn2) Pratikraman - asking for forgiveness for that mistake, and finally, rn3) Pratyakhyan - making the firm resolve to never repeat the mistake. Pratikraman is the medicine for the mind to get calmer. If someone hurls insulting words and this results in an inner reaction of hurt, and if you constantly feel that it is your own mistake, and you keep doing pratikraman, then that’s considered to be the greatest knowledge of the Lord. All of the above is easy to practice and implement when one has attained Self-realisation. When one understands from the Enlightened One experientially who really am I and who is the one that is suffering, when one realizes that these two are totally separate, then one will automatically flow naturally in all events of life, without getting affected by them and/or fighting with them when those events unfold in our life.
