Bliss is the natural state of the Soul. And do you know, the Soul is our real Self? Therefore, living a blissful life means being in the nature of the Self! To truly experience a blissful life, we must first attain the knowledge of the Self. It is only after attaining the experience of the pure Soul for once, that we can understand the nature of one’s real form. Thereafter, the more we recognize the attributes of the Self, the greater is the bliss. The difference between happiness and bliss. Here, happiness means worldly or materialistic happiness and bliss means the permanent happiness derived from the experience of the Soul. • Happiness usually depends on one’s individual belief of what makes one feel happier and what makes him feel unhappy. Whereas bliss is uniform for whoever experiences it. • Happiness is a temporary state that is based on external circumstances. While bliss is a state that does not get affected by any dramas of life. • Happiness is heavily influenced by our intellect’s constant evaluation of ‘this is good’ or ‘this is bad’. However, bliss is an experience that is beyond the intervention of the intellect. rnThe worldly happiness that one enjoys is subjective to external factors; this happiness increases and decreases based on the events and the people around us. It is also dependant on how we feel or think at a particular time or in a particular situation. This happiness is fleeting as it is temporary in nature and all too often followed by misery. But the happiness one experiences after Self-Realization is an entirely different experience. Experience of happiness in worldly life after Self-Realization is of a different kind. rnThere is lasting peace, harmony and tranquillity that one experiences in life for following reasons: • One has a constant inner intent of not hurting any living being. This intent brings long-lasting harmony and happiness into our life. • One begins to work towards freedom from negative emotions of anger, pride, deceit and greed, which are the root cause of one’s suffering. This sense of freedom fills our life with peace and happiness. • One stops seeing faults of others, and rather focuses on one’s own mistakes, as a result of which one feels very light and contented, and hence remains very happy. • One immediately asks for forgiveness when he’s been the cause of someone else’s suffering. • The happiness of others is put to the forefront rather than thinking about one’s own self. • One experiences freedom from fear and worries as one understand ‘Who am I’ and ‘which entity runs the world’. • Self-realized beings practice equanimity even in testing and trying times. This helps release enormous amounts of misery-causing atoms from their life which correspondingly results in direct feeling of happiness. The above gradually leads you towards experiencing the bliss of the Self. • The true blissful state is experienced by remaining in our real form of the pure Soul. • Bliss is a natural state of the Soul, you do not have to do anything for experiencing it. You just have to realize that, really “I am a Pure Soul”. • The blissful state is constant, it does not increase one moment and decrease another. • Nothing on the outside can affect it. • Bliss is experienced by going beyond the mind and intellect. • Bliss is beyond the experiences of the 5 senses. • Experiencing bliss is far greater than the feeling of happiness. A blissful state can be easily experienced in this very life. All one has to do is find a living Gnani, a fully enlightened being, and attain Self-realisation from Him. Do you know this knowledge of the Self can be attained in just 2 hours? And it is totally free? So, what are you waiting for? For details, please visit https://www.dadabhagwan.org/
