The ABCs of Packing it on in 2009

I plan on doing the unthinkable in 2009. I am going to gain as much as I can and plan to steer clear of things and thoughts when it comes to losing. I have been losing for years and where does it get me? Lose so much that you don’t even recognize yourself. Some days I have to glance at ...

Your New Life Work Balance Sheet: It’s all about figuring out what really matters. Step Four.

Step One found you having a love affair with yourself. Step Two was all about writing your own bestseller – affirmations that keep you going even on the days when everything, including the car (or cat or toddler), overheats. Step Three got you off the sofa and exercising your right to be fit and trim. Step Four is all about taking a deep breath….one, two, three and exhaling. And it’s all legal! Get Caught Laughing At Work

A strong sense of humor seemed to be in my family’s genes along with freckles and being musically challenged. My father’s wit was so sharp it induced paper cuts, but we’d laugh at the brilliance and the total silliness of his one-liners or odd little stories. In grammar ...

Intuitive Coach Tara Roth Gets Real Clear: - Intuitively Speaking - The Interview

ec: Before we delve into the subject of Intuition and how it has impacted your life, in all areas of your life, can you give us your definition of Intuition? I think there are still some who feel that getting in touch with your inner voice only happens in a smoked filled backroom with a woman named Mistress Sylvia and a crystal ball. "When You Lie About Your Age, The Terrorists Win." The Interview with comic Carol Lefier

One of the comics that I admired for her sharp observational humor is Carol Leifer. Well, Carol just published a very funny book called, "When You Lie About Your Age, The Terrorists Win." She writes about embracing her life and her age and her writing is insightful and hilarious. I just had the good fortune to interview Carol about her life and her new book. ec. We both grew up on Long Island but we never had any play dates together. Another thing we have in common were fathers who were both naturally very funny.

Step Four was all about taking the time to meditate and getting centered in your universe. Wonder what Step 5 can be about? I would like you to throw your own party. The theme? What’s a party nowadays without a theme? Let’s try Celebrate Me party! Throw it for 100 or just light a few candles and treat yourself to a lovely repast. Maybe dessert by candlelight.
