It’s Okay To Slip-Up
An act or thought that unintentionally deviates from what is right or true. This is the formal definition for slip-up. To slip-up should never be thought of as a failure to accomplish something. I am quite certain that many of us would agree that many mishaps we may have been involved with in the past have led us to not only negative but positive experiences. If at first you do not succeed, try again. We can never prosper unless we first taste defeat. These are a couple sayings that come to mind.

Want More For Who?
I just had another revelation and wanted to share it with you. So often we are told that it is okay to have wants and desires. In fact we have been told that we should even picture ourselves in the new car we desire even before we own it and that if we do, we will have put the energy out there and our new car will appear into our lives. It is the old saying that our thoughts become things. I like this concept and have adapted my life around this idea and have seen success with it.

Here Is The Skinny On Why TEA Is So Important For Us
Tea has often been referred to as natures ‘wonder drug’ and to its healing qualities used for centuries in the Far East and even England. It is the second most widely consumed beverage, second only to water. It is also no secret that in these areas of the world where tea is most consumed, there is also some of the longest life-expectancy rates as well. I could go on and on about the amazing benefits tea has to offer us, but I would like to talk to you about another type of tea.

Only 5 Minutes To Break From TEA
In my last article I spoke of how important it is to have powerful and positive thoughts. Those thoughts would lead to enlightened emotions and subsequently stronger actions as a result. I gave it a name so you all could remember, TEA. I want to speak to you today as a real person with human qualities like everyone else. I am also a person that deals with the nuances of daily life and sometimes difficult circumstances which get in our way from day to day that may make thinking positive a struggle.

Who Are You, And Are You Happy With You?
I am often asked why I write these journal entries or articles on a monthly basis and not long ago I would have probably thought that I would be silly to do such a thing. Oh well, I have changed and it is what it is. I would not call myself an author, but just someone who enjoys speaking with words onto this computer screen knowing that in addition to myself, many people out there in cyber-space are reading and helping them to make positive changes in their lives. I know that this is true because I have had numerous responses over the past four months all saying so.

FPA Member? New Year, New Results
What better time than now is it to grow and prosper? We are approaching yet the end of another year or for some, a new beginning. It is a fact that the majority of new and existing businesses flourish this very time of year because so many people are making resolutions for change in their lives. They are tired of their job and feeling a renewed substance within them that any new year brings. We all are conscious that January 1st is really just another day, but each of our subconscious minds sing to an entirely different tune.

What is Normal to You?
Have you ever really thought about it? I mean, what is normal? I can guarantee you if I were to interview ten random people from different backgrounds, I’d get some various degree of differences. Over the past three or four years I have been on a journey, so to speak, in finding me and my intentions in this world. I assure you if you were to ask me what was normal back then compared to now there would have been drastic differences. I learn and expand upon new knowledge every day, though not essentially searching for any one thing but, to lift myself up and keep me up.

A Special Moment In Time…..
It was in October 1982 in my home town of Berlin located in the suburbs of central Connecticut. It was a brisk 60 degrees outside and fall was reaching its peak. I was waiting to pick up my stack of newspapers from the New Britain Herald on the corner of Wildemere Drive and Lower Lane. I wasn’t in a hurry this particular Friday afte oon and didn’t have any obligations to speak of except for perhaps a game of flashlight tag come nightfall with some of my neighborhood friends. I decided I was going to walk my route today instead of riding my bike like I normally did.

Integrity...Take II
I had such a great response from yesterday’s blog on Integrity. I heard such positive feedback from many of my friends and associates that I thought I would delve a bit more on the subject in hopes to not only help myself, in sort of a self realization as I write, but to also assist others who are wanting the same. A good friend commented on my article saying that Integrity was not just a word, but a way of life. He is so true because we either live a life of integrity or we don’t. There is no in between.

Take Your Problem Up With HR, and I don’t Mean Human Resources
We all know what HR stands for. Every company has one, big or small. Whenever there is a problem or concern, the HR department will address the issue and create a solution. So what if we are talking about ourselves? Would if we have an issue that stems from us internally and does not require outsourcing to an HR department? Many of us do not have an on-call HR department to access when there is an immediate problem which has arisen in our lives. In a past article submission titled, “How Bad Do You Want Change?”, I discussed the other meaning of HR.

Why Do You Do What You Do?
I can remember as a kid wondering what it was like for my dad when he went to work. I’d watch him sit on the side of the bed and put his socks on after he’d already taken a shower, almost a sort of ritual as far as my memory can serve me. I would ask him random questions as he got ready for work to get some insight as far as when he planned on getting home or what he was going to do that day. I always got boring old answers from my Dad, which in retrospect tells me nothing more than he was just doing his duty to provide for his family and did not have a great desire for his work.

I Never Seem to Have the Time
Everyone with a show of hands, “Who is guilty of having said this before?” Guilty as charged. Let us face it, we all have said this or at least thought this more so than we probably even realize. Our lives are extremely busy, or so we think. I came across some neat information online that I thought would be neat to share with you. There is on average 672 hours in a month, and if we subtracted 280 hours (10 hours a day for sleep) and 200 hours (50 hour work week) for sleep and work respectively, we would have on average 48 hours a week to spend as you wish.

"Say not I Cannot, But I Can"
I pride myself on what I like to phrase, "It's okay to S.L.I.P". We are often worried we might SLIP up, but it depends what SLIP actually means to you. I have broken down the word as follows.
S-Serve
L-Listen
I- Initiate
P-Persist
