Let me ask you a question (ok, maybe a few…) What do you want? What do you really want? Do you want to create wealth? Do you want a business that fulfils you?
Aaaargh, I am watching you… Seeing you doing exactly the same old, same old nonsense over and over again… Each time, you coat it in reasonable sounding nonsense that allows you ONCE AGAIN to lay down your dreams and give way to the fear and procrastination… And yet you keep lying to yourself that ‘I have no choice!’
This is exactly the right moment for you to begin… Who cares what went before… NOW IS YOUR TIME! Who cares what you failed at in the past… NOW IS YOUR TIME! Who cares who said you can’t do this or that… NOW IS YOUR TIME! Who cares about anything other than the fact that NOW IS YOUR TIME!
You may have been informed that the money is in the list and yes that is true but it is only a part of the story. The truth is that the money can be found in building relationship with the people on your list. Trying to get lots of unqualified people onto your list in the hopes that they will mysteriously turn into buyers is incredibly naïve and will lead to a whole lot of frustration as you have probably realized.
OK, honesty time… Every day you wake up, what do you feel? A sinking feeling, a horrible, physically sick feeling or a frisson of excitement and joy about what the day just may bring? What would you like to feel?

I could tell you all my sad stories about what this parent did or what that friend did and how it hurt me and yep, it did… It hurt me so bad, deep down inside of me… It made me clam up, build walls around me… It made me careful about who I trusted… It made me try too hard to be liked for the false person I portrayed to the world… It made me empty…

I was living in poverty and I did not even know it. ON the face of things I was successful, I had the career, the house, the cars, the cleaner and people thought I had it altogether but in my heart of hearts, I wanted more and I had a lot of debt to support my supposed wealth.
Do you ever feel like you are just not really getting the real you out? Like there is something just beneath the surface that wants to be unleashed but you have all these holdbacks that tell you to tame it, to hide it, to be like everyone else? You feel that power in the loins and it needs somewhere to go…
This is the thing - You need a list. No matter how much you think that you can make it big on just social media or just by how awesome you are but it gets tough to try and hack it without a mailing list. I see entrepreneurs struggling and struggling to build their business and when I ask, I find out that they do not have the basic and yet most important of things - A mailing list.

You set uncommon goals for yourself. And beneath your exte al mask is a deep desire to achieve it all and also, to get rich. Be honest about it! You are done with all the worrying about where the money is going to come from for you to fulfil your destiny and make all the difference you dream of making in the world.

Some people like to judge others. Fear is one big thing that gets in the way of you creating the life and the business you want. You claim to want to get rich, to impact people and change lives, to live a fulfilling life but then… You get stifled by fear… You put the brakes on the actions you must take to create wealth And so you do not get the wealth you want and you keep looking for magic bullet solutions that never work and just distract you from the work that you must do each and every day to get wealthy. And I say, enough! Fear can not be allowed to control you in this way!
You can love the person you are… After all, you were created in love, you were created perfect, you are priceless, you are worth more than you will ever realise… You can love the work that you do… After all, you are certainly not created only to struggle… You are created with purpose and calling and there is something you are uniquely designed to do… You can enjoy life… You can let go of the struggle and strain and determine instead just to keep doing what you love to do…
Do you ever do this thing where you keep holding back on doing the thing you are great at, while staring at the thing you think you want to be good at? Let me try to explain…

You think that you always have to be appear to have it all together… You think that you have to pretend to be a superhuman type of person… You doubt yourself and what you have to offer and so you put on this front… The problem is that no one can relate to that… And so, you drive people away from you because you seem too perfect. You seem to have no flaws and everyone knows that that is just not possible. They know you are hiding something and so, instead of stick around and figure you out… They move on to the next person who seems a lot more authentic than you.

For most of my life, I have felt like an outsider… I was a little bit too white (and still am) to understand and live to the ‘rules’ of my Black African family… And I am obviously too black to be considered white… I have always wanted more than the regular person and I have always believed that the ‘seemingly impossible’ is possible! I have been accused of wanting too much, trying too hard and being too intense… And for long periods of time, I believed this… I tried hard to fit in, to believe what ‘they’ told me to believe… To do what ‘they’ said had to be done…

We were all told that we will have to compromise if we want to get on in the world… We were all told that we will be unhappy if we do not compromise… And yet, ARE YOU HAPPY NOW? Really, truly happy?
Yesterday, I doubted myself… It was pyjama day so I allowed myself to indulge in it and guess what?! I regretted it. I ALWAYS regret it and yet, I never seem to learn. I allowed the doubts a voice in my head for about 4 hours and then I realised that I was getting absolutely nowhere AS USUAL and I chose to believe again. Just like that – I made a choice to believe – Did some real work instead of all the navel-gazing work and made sales. Like a switch.

Most people are that way… They just want to protect themselves… Keep a kinda good thing going… Right?! They do that with life… They do that with business… They do that with their career… They do that with their religion… Too scared to change anything… In case the applecart gets toppled…

You have toned yourself down, tried to be obedient to every rule that the gods of business and the internet and social media propose… You have tried to be polite and nice and to kinda be under the radar while trying to tell people how your product/service/whatever can help, inspire, motivate, educate them in some way… YOU HAVE TRIED! And where the hell has it got you? NOWHERE!
